Pittsburgh’s 96.1 KISS FM Morning Freak Show, hosted by Mikey and Big Bob, responded to a Twitter rumor yesterday that Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby is dating country-turned-pop star Taylor Swift. Normally, I’d be like, “Stupid morning radio bros startin’ poop with awful photoshops” but not this time, because this rumor totally seems like it could be true.

For example, Swift is playing at the Amway Center tonight in my beloved Bethlehem of the meth belt, Orlando, and I wouldn’t even flinch if someone walked up to me in a strip club and said, “Hey I heard Sidney Crosby’s in town because Taylor Swift is playing a show tonight” because she has a different boyfriend every week. In fact, I’m shocked that she hasn’t dated Crosby yet. Hell, any pro athlete for that matter.

So because it’s eventually going to happen, and Swift will break up with whichever athlete she gets her talons on (please be Tebow, please be Tebow…) and then she’ll write an entire album about him, I took the liberty of writing her first hit single off that album.

Model, actress and athlete’s wife Brooklyn Decker was making the promotional rounds for her new film Battleship earlier this week, and she called in to Mason and Remy, a morning show on St. Louis’ 93.7 The Bull. And you would think that it would be pretty simple to come up with some standard cookie cutter questions for Decker – What’s it like being a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model? How do you deal with being a world famous model married to a professional athlete? Is it hard making the transition to acting? Can I have a lock of your hair? – but as Remy proved, it’s really not.

In probably the most awkward interview of a super model this year, Remy asked Decker a series of questions that made no sense, because they were meant for Kate Upton. This clearly does nothing to quash the stereotype that all gorgeous white swimsuit models look alike. But for starters, Decker is 25-years old. Upton is 19. Decker is married and Upton is single. See? Two completely different women.

Brian Scalabrine could only sit and watch helplessly as his Boston Celtics lost in seven games to the Los Angeles Lakers. The reserve forward was relegated to street clothes throughout most of the playoffs, but that’s more than fitting because his new talent is just plain street. Turns out the 6-foot-9 can lay down the beat, the legit flava, droppin’ hot rhymes like Travis Henry drops dimes.

A regular guest on the Boston CBS affiliate’s The Toucher and Rich Show, Scalabrine stopped by recently to play a game of Name That Tune: Rap Edition with callers. Summoning his alter ego Scal-nilla Ice, the towering redhead laid down his own versions of Baby Got Back, Rapper’s Delight, Up in Here, and F*ck the Police. This marked the first time in Boston radio history that four consecutive rap songs were played and three of them weren’t House of Pain.

Scalabrine is a fan favorite on the local morning show, as he appears on occasion to discuss pertinent Celtics news, and hot button issues in general. I honestly didn’t expect to laugh, but the combination of his Barry White voice and lines like “I have red hair” and “Don’t ask me for a Happy Meal” is pretty lethal comedy. Scalabrine’s previous experience in comedy includes playing basketball.
