The first pictures of Allison Stokke handling her pole for the Cal Golden Bears surfaced just about everywhere yesterday. But nobody's mentioned that the true freshman, despite looking less tan and a bit thicker in the britches (not that bloggers know anything about these kinds things) had a good showing at the MPSF Championships in Seattle last weekend.

In the women's pole vault, freshman Allison Stokke set both the school indoor and freshman records with her mark of 13-1.00 (3.99m). Fellow teammate, junior Katie Morgan [not the porn star (NSFW) --GEd. ] set the same mark, as both pole vaulters provisionally qualified for the indoor championships. Stokke and Morgan tied for third in the competition.

I won't be the first person to say that this pic is a bit of a letdown. I mean, it's not like I'm gay outside of the whole poetry slamming about other men thing. Fortunately there's a pic of Cal's Katie Morgan in that first link, and as you can see she's built like a brick shithouse. But in a good way. I can't wait until her father threatens to sue everybody for invading her privacy, right before a whistle-stop media tour. What does "whistle-stop" mean, anyway? – Monday Morning Punter

Willis McGahee is allegedly the father of a third child by a third different woman.

Keisha Walls, 27, an elementary school teacher, says McGahee is the father of son Kai Walls, born April 19, 2006… Her husband took a paternity test. "It was negative.'' … Says Walls: "I don't sleep around. It was Willis."

Uh huh. She doesn't sleep around. Except when she cheats on her husband with an NFL star. This, of course, comes on the heels of McGillis's famous interview last year with ESPN.com's Jemele Hill, then with the Orlando Sentinel. Some choice quotes:

Q: So far, what's the most difficult thing about fatherhood?

A: Nothing right now. Not for me. Just dealing with the mother. That's the difficult part. After that, everything is cool.

Q: What's more troublesome, an ex-wife or a baby momma?

A: A baby momma.

Q: Why?

A: Because they feel like they should be a part of your life for 18 years. An ex-wife, you can get away from her. A baby momma, you can't get away from her until the child is 18 or older. They're going to constantly ask you for money. They just want to nag you for no reason, just because they can. [Willis has never been married.]

Even Shawn Kemp thinks Willis McGahee is an ass.
