Bears defensive lineman Tommie Harris made all the tough guys in the NHL a bit envious yesterday after getting thrown of his team’s game against the Cardinals yesterday before even getting his uniform dirty. He was thrown out on his team’s first defensive series after he punched a prone Arizona guard Deuce Lutui in the face. Harris was promptly ejected, which would have been cool if he could have scored some nachos on the sideline, but I think only quarterbacks can put in food orders during games.
Harris will almost certainly be suspended, which does no favors for the Bears (4-4, 9th in NFC) or Lovie Smith, who might have to get his team to the playoffs to save his job.
