My Favorite BlazerDancer? Probably The 70-Year Old In The Satin Jacket

Written by Brandon Stroud / 02.14.13

Because YOLO, here’s Portland Trail Blazers color commentator Mike Rice donning a satin jacket and a pair of sunglasses to do “the Gangnam” and “the Dougie” with the BlazerDancers. It’s cute, and also should make you feel good about every time you have refrained from dancing. (via That NBA Lottery Pick)

Dwight Howard Is On A PR Tour, Goin’ Each And Every Place With A Mic In His Hand

Written by Ashley Burns / 09.28.12

Dwight Howard said over and over that he didn’t want to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Even after he was traded to L.A., he still openly stated that he wanted to be in Brooklyn, playing for the Nets. And while he’ll likely never openly admit that his ties to Brooklyn (allegedly) developed because it meant jobs with Jay-Z and ESPN for his friends, and that Adidas was going to pay him more than Derrick Rose money to be the face of New York’s newer, cooler franchise, he’ll still get more than he ever hoped for with the Lakers.

People have already mostly forgotten that Howard made LeBron James look like Mother Theresa in the way he handled his departure from the Orlando Magic. After all, Orlando is a one-horse town that really only offers a star like Howard the convenience of no state income tax, which is why he’s keeping his home in Central Florida, despite purchasing a $20 million mansion in California. But we’re forgetting what a selfish a-hole child he behaved like, because Howard has unlimited PR tools at his disposal. First up, Ellen.

Wes Welker Doing The Dougie Is Missing One Important Ingredient To Viral Success

Written by Brandon Stroud / 06.12.12

Like Jeremy Lin Does The Dougie and “Teach Me How To Gundy” before it, this clip of Wes Welker, Patrick Willis and Larry Fitzgerald holding Dougie Dance-Offs at ProCamps youth football camps will be forever compared to that one time Kate Upton got bored at a basketball game and semi-Dougied on video.

Kate’s Dougie was named our #1 Sports Moment Of 2011 and has almost 8-million views on each of the 11-million YouTube accounts hosting a copy, but the Welker version has its own charm, namely watching a bunch of kids learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship while dancing to a song containing the lyric, “And when I asked for some head da bitch looked at me funny, daaah!”

I know they’re dancing to the Kidz Bop version (all the “girls” love you, sure), but it’s fun to pretend. A +1 goes out to Welker for being the only pro taped dancing himself, and a +100 to the Kate video, which has once again taken 100% of my attention and is available below. It’s like an old friend.

Friday Face-Off (On Monday): Who Dougied Better, Jeremy Lin Or Kate Upton?

Written by Brandon Stroud / 02.13.12

jeremy-lin-dougieBy way of Buzzfeed comes this video of Jeremy Lin doing “The Dougie” during his rookie year at Golden State. You know why? ‘Cause all his bitches love him.

This is, of course, in direct confliction with the greatest of all Dougie instructional videos — Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton doing The Dougie at a Los Angeles Clippers game, a clip so great it topped our list of the 20 Greatest Sports Moments Of 2011.

That video (as if you haven’t seen it 200 times already) is below, followed by an important question: if you could learn to Dougie from only one master, who would you choose?

College Football Finally Has Something To Do With Kate Upton

Written by Brandon Stroud / 09.29.11

Back in April, we shared with you a video of Sports Illustrated model and equestrian teen fantasy Kate Upton doing “The Dougie” at a game wherein a hot lady doing a dumb dance was the most memorable moment. Not only did this become the redefining moment of our With Leather mission statement (“post pictures of Kate Upton nonstop, every day”), it became what we look for in our collegiate sports news. That has been a relatively dry well, until today.

The above video was taken after the Oklahoma State Cowboys beat Texas A&M on Saturday, and what you should be looking for (besides Mark McGwire crying … that is Mark McGwire, isn’t it?) is coach Mike Gundy doing a Godless amalgamation of “The Dip” and “The Humpty Dance”. He gets low, low, low, low, and because the Internet exists we can now enjoy his Caucasian Dance Party set to nearly any song, including — you guessed it — a parody version of Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie”. The lyrics now include Gundy’s famous “I’m a man! I’m 40!” rant, which really should’ve included the line “I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!”, for extra hilarity. Oklahoma State should already be calling up Kate and paying her to drink SoBe in her underwear to this.

Please to enjoy, by way of Brian Floyd at SB Nation:

Someone Taught Kate Upton How To Dougie

Written by JOSH Z / 04.04.11

I have no idea what game Kate Upton was attending when this video was shot, and I really don’t care. Kate really knows how to Dougie, and is not afraid to show it. It’s amazing; this girl is only 18 and she already has America eating out of her hand. That would have been my second choice, for the record.
