I'm not certain, but this appears to be American Ali Bernard wrestling eventual gold medal winner Wang Jiao in the quarterfinals of the women's 72kg division.  At least I think so.  For all I know it could be a really great third date.

Ordinarily I don't approve of poor sportsmanship, but Swedish Greco Roman wrestler Ara Abrahamian was so righteously badass about his loss in the Olympics that I can't help but be impressed.  Abrahamian lost in the semifinals to eventual gold medal winner Andrea Mignuzzi, but poor officiating led the Swede to verbally abuse the judges before he was dragged away.  But that's not all.  After winning the bronze medal match:

[D]uring the ceremony, Abrahamian took the medal from around his neck, stepped from podium and dropped it in the middle of the mat before storming off.

IOC officials promised a disciplinary hearing, while the victorious Minguzzi said his celebration had been spoiled. "Certainly one can always question decisions made in the course of refereeing, but in sports it is appropriate to show sportsmanship and accept the results," he said.

Oh. no!  Not a disciplinary hearing!  Probably won't be that big of a deal, considering Abrahamian also announced his retirement.  What an absolute pissed-off badass.  After all these stories about international bonding and sportsmanship, it's good to see a good ol'-fashioned "fuck you" that spoils the medal ceremony.  Who doesn't want to bring this guy to a wedding?

In a story we've been avoiding because it involves penises (and not even Olympian penises!), the two wrestlers from Nebaska who posed for a gay porn site have been booted from the team. Just more time to star in McG movies.

Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan were let go Tuesday, three days after a blog posted images of them taken from Fratmentv.com, a Web site featuring naked or partially clothed male athletes.

"The history of behavior of these men, including the current matter, does not reflect the standard of excellence we aspire to on and off the mat," coach Mark Manning said in a statement. "We have outstanding student-athletes in our program and we will move forward in a positive manner toward our goals.

"I want to personally apologize for any embarrassment that may have been caused for our athletic department, the university and our fans."

Manning didn't address the nature of the wrestlers' past transgressions, and didn't immediately return a message left on his cell phone seeking comment.

Jordan and Donahoe have had a series of run-ins with the law in Lincoln. Jordan has paid fines for possessing or consuming alcohol as a minor, trespassing and assault, and Donahoe for maintaining a disorderly house and having an open alcohol container.

Those minor transgressions, of course, were all hunky-dory until the two guys decided to get paid to show their man bits online. Who'd've thought Nebaska wouldn't be a hotbed of progressive thought? Oh, right. Everybody.

I was gonna make fun of the Chinese for being entertained by Zhao Yun Zilong wrestling the "invisible" Misutero, but then I realized America has WWE, and I wept a little for our country.  Frankly, I'm more likely to believe in the existence of an invisible man than I am in Vince McMahon's supposed injuries.  So, how long until we see this same thing on RAW?  Two weeks?  Three, tops?

While we're focusing on college athletes, meet Chinese-born UNC freshman Long Wang.  He wrestled and played football all four years in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society, which really isn't that big of an honor.  He's now on the Tar Heel wrestling team as he studies biology and pre-med, and for the record I cannot confirm if he was a naughty schoolgirl for Halloween.

And yes, he's an Asian man named Long Wang.  Maybe the greatest ironic name ever, if stereotypes are true.  And I certainly hope they are.  If stereotypes aren't true, then I might actually have to think when I assess people.  I'm much too lazy for that.  Man, I'm thirsty.  I wish the kitchen wasn't so far away.
