All Anderson Silva Wants To Do Is F**k This Cheeseburger

Written by Brandon Stroud / 08.26.11

How does UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva stay in good enough shape to kick Vitor Belfort’s teeth down his throat? By eating at Burger King, of course! Why, Muay Thai striking is practically synonymous with “ranch sauce”, isn’t it?

Feast your eyes (and hopefully nothing else) on this Brazilian Burger King ad featuring The Spider lip-synching to Minnie Riperton’s Solid Gold Hit “Lovin’ You”, the moving ’70s ballad most famously sung by John Stamos (‘s brother) on an episode of South Park. The ad, which features Silva wearing fight gloves and sitting in what looks like a hookah bar near some porcelain dogs, is funny and sorta bizarre, especially if you listen to the lyrics too closely or notice the birds chirping in the background. Conceptually I guess it isn’t any weirder than Manny Pacquiao singing “Sometimes When We Touch” (and being extremely serious about it), but Manny wasn’t trying to put his dick in the Steakhouse XT.

If Silva can make it past Yushin Okami tomorrow night, he’s gonna take everybody out for those little wedges of mousse pie in cardboard boxes.

‘South’ Park Made Fun Of LeBron

Written by JOSH Z / 11.04.10

eric cartman is the coon

The masterminds at The Basketball Jones caught last night’s “South Park,” which had a nice little dig on that LeBron James commercial that nobody could shut up about last week. We might have reached critical mass here with LeBron’s arrogance finally eclipsing Kobe’s alleged rapey-ness. Of course, the only one here being critical is me.

I do enjoy Eric Cartman being dressed up as a superhero and calling himself “Coon.” Maybe now I can finally get my grandfather to watch the show. The clip of the LeBron spoof is after the jump. Enjoy. Read the rest of this entry »

‘SOUTH PARK’ DEFENDS TIGER WOODS

Written by JOSH Z / 03.18.10

Season 14 of Comedy Central’s “South Park” aired last night, but the show seemed like it was almost defending Tiger Woods as much as it was ridiculing him, which was a refreshing change from the indignation that had been hurled at the golfer since he crashed his Cadillac last Thanksgiving. The show repeatedly asked, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, “Why would rich, powerful men decide to start sleeping with lots of women?”

The highlights had to have been Butters’ obsession with “bush” and the sex addicts rehab class, which also featured likenesses of Michael Jordan and Ben Roethlisberger. The whole episode should be online, but there’s a clip after the jump of Tiger’s newest “video game.” Read the rest of this entry »
