The Best And Worst Of WWE Raw 8/13/12: Brock Lesnar Takes 45 Minutes To Break An Arm

Written by Brandon Stroud / 08.14.12

Pre-show notes

- As always, you clicking “like” on this post makes you a great friend of mine. Be sure to leave a comment when you’re done clicking like, even if it’s a comment about how much fun you had clicking like.

- I’m leaving on a plane to California as you’re reading this, so if you live anywhere in the state, make sure you find me at SummerSlam (or SummerSlam Axxess, or tonight’s Giants/Nationals game) and say hi. You should also stop by the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles for Saturday night’s Tournament Of Nerds, where I’ll be a guest judge. It’s a benchmark of my life, so come give high-fives.

- Propers to Casey for his mad GIFfage.

- Don’t forget to follow along with the WWE 13 roster reveal stuff this Saturday, follow me on Twitter and be around for the SummerSlam open discussion thread, starting Friday. Damien Sandow badges will be had.

Anyway, enjoy this week’s report.

The Best And Worst Of WWE Raw 1000: The One Where One Clothesline Fixes Everything

Written by Brandon Stroud / 07.24.12
CM Punk The Rock WWE Raw

If you want to see the exact moment my heart begins to swell, this is it.

Pre-show notes:

- Another huge thanks to Dennis Haskins, Action Bronson, Derrick Bateman and the over 6,000 comments that made our Raw 1000 Open Discussion Thread the most populated and commented-upon UPROXX thread ever. If you want to spend the next two hours laughing, go skim through that. I could’ve included 200 top comments.

- Before you read the Raw 1000 report, be sure you’ve read The Best And Worst Of WWF Monday Night Raw, Episode 1. The Executioners show up in it, and they’re pretty great.

- Thanks as always to Casey of Hammerlock Dialectic for gifs.

- Follow us on Twitter @withleather, follow me personally @MrBrandonStroud and like us on Facebook.

And now, the Best and Worst Of Raw 1000 (July 23, 2012), lovingly presented by Tout.com.

WWE Money In The Bank PPV – Open Discussion Thread

Written by Brandon Stroud / 07.15.12

WWE Money In The Bank PPV Open Discussion Thread

WWE’s third annual ‘Money In The Bank’ pay-per-view airs live this Sunday night, starting with a YouTube pre-show match at 7:30 EST with the formal show beginning at 8 PM EST. As always, we’ll be here to recap the show and make jokes as it happens.

Here’s your full card:

- YouTube Exclusive Pre-Show Tag Team Match: WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs. Hunico and Camacho

- Money In The Bank Ladder Match for a WWE Championship contract: John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane vs. Big Show

- Money In The Bank Ladder Match for a World Heavyweight Championship contract: Damien Sandow vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Intercontinental Champion Christian vs. United States Champion Santino Marella vs. Tensai vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sin Cara

- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sheamus (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio

- WWE Championship Match, with AJ as the special guest referee: CM Punk (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

Yep, that’s it so far. Four pay-per-view matches and a pre-show.

Of course, there’s a good chance we’ll get a string of impromptu matches (possibilities: The Ryback rybacking somebody, Dean Ambrose debuting suddenly to be the Mistah J to AJ’s Harley Quinn, Sin Cara wrestling Hunico again even though they’re already in matches … Layla rolling somebody up in 40 seconds, whatever) and backstage segments to keep us interested.

To keep YOU interested, we’re giving you another chance to earn a beautiful commenter badge for your participation in the open discussion. During the show, you’ll be able to tweet this post and share it on Facebook by clicking the “like” button on this page to unlock the ZIG ZAG MAN badge. You’ll always have a great memento of Dolph Ziggler winning a Money In The Bank briefcase, whether he does or not.

My ten favorite comments from this thread will be featured in Danny Boy Downes’ Best And Worst Of WWE Money In The Bank guest column on Monday. To nominate a comment for top 10 status, reply to it with a +1.

So let’s hear your predictions for the show. Who’s winning, and when are they cashing in? Which unannounced matches will we see?

The Best And Worst Of WWE Raw 7/2/12: AJ Wins. Flawless Victory.

Written by Brandon Stroud / 07.03.12

Pre-show notes:

- Do me a big favor and click that “like” button at the top. If we get 100+ comments on these reports, we should be getting just as many likes. This is my job, technically, and I get paid based on some really weird stuff.

- Thanks to Casey of Hammerlock Dialectic for gifs, as always, especially the one at the very end.

- Follow us on Twitter @withleather, follow me personally @MrBrandonStroud and like us on Facebook.

- We’ve got a Smackdown discussion thread happening for tonight’s Great American Bash live special, so be sure to check back in a little bit for that. It’ll have a Ryback badge, and I don’t want you to miss it.

Short list this week, so let’s get right to it. Please click through to enjoy the Best And Worst Of WWE Raw for July 2, 2012. Yes. YES. YES! YES!

The Best And Worst Of WWE No Way Out ’12

Written by Brandon Stroud / 06.18.12

Best and Worst Of WWE No Way Out 2012

Pre-show notes:

- I decided to write two Best And Worst columns this week because I hate myself. Please make sure to leave a comment, click the like button and share the column with wrestling fans you know. We want to make sure to keep bringing in new people to the community, so we don’t end up with ten people telling me everything I write is great.

- Thanks to Casey of Hammerlock Dialectic for pics and gifs, as always. More excited to get a mark photo with him at King Of Trios than Tommy Dreamer.

- Follow us on Twitter @withleather, follow me personally @MrBrandonStroud and like us on Facebook.

- If you just tune in to With Leather for the wrestling reports, make sure not to miss With Spandex episode 6, where I talk to WWE Superstar Derrick Bateman about N64 WWF No Mercy mods, the Cleveland Indians, star ratings and a weird fan fiction where he and Kaitlyn go out for paninins and AJ is their waitress. It’s a good time. Also, come to the site for more than the wrestling reports, jerk.

Anyway, enjoy the Best And Worst Of WWE No Way Out ’12. Yes, I ordered the poster.
