In a blog post that would’ve gotten tons of traffic maybe six years ago, Manny Pacquiao celebrated his decision-by-way-of-inevitability victory over Sugar Shane Mosley by hanging out with socialite turned porn star turned pop culture icon turned something turned nobody Paris Hilton. I’m guessing he punched her in the face, which is why her eyeball is doing that thing.

Paris tweeted: “Hanging out with @MannyPacquiao and his beautiful wife Jinkee. They are such a sweet & down to earth couple! Love them! :)”

Jinkee also had her picture taken with the American celebrity. Paris reportedly had a hard time leaving the media room as Filipino fans mobbed her.

I tried typing “Kate Upton Is On Us,” but my fingers broke. She’s figured out a way to get us talking about her every day, without ever really doing anything. I’d rather write about that pressurized glass than, say, Jeter. And so yeah, I guess as long as you’re in Sports Illustrated a couple of times you qualify as “sports,” so I can confidently cover things like Ms. Upton, Beyonce, or the Chicago White Sox.

Punch to face! Me so solly!

I can’t possibly thank Deadspin commenter Gourmet Spud enough for pointing out the racially insensitive nature of Shane Mosley’s caricature of an Asian person during his upset of Antonio Margarito.  Shame on you, Mr. Mosley.

Mickey Rooney, however, thinks it could use a little more yellowface.

"Sugar" Shane Mosley has been accused of using BALCO's  "the cream" and "the clear" before a 2003 victory over Oscar De La Hoya:

Mosley on Friday confirmed that he had unknowingly taken some banned substances . . . "Unknowingly, yes, some of the substances they are talking about, were being used as part of the workouts," Mosley told ESPN.com. "I didn't know what the hell it was.  I didn't know anything about that stuff. It was something given to me, pushed up on me. I'm a health freak-type of guy. I like to have everything organic, natural."

Public defenders are always incredulous when I tell them this right before the bond hearing, but just like Mr. Mosley, sometimes I can't be sure what I'm ingesting, injecting or inhaling.  It could be grain alcohol, or smack, or spirit of turpentine – I just don't know.  When you're at a soiree where most of the party-goers are packing heat, it's best not be rude.  And you know, when in Rome . . . Anyway, the people in charge should change the name of "the clear" to "the sugar" in honor of Shane.  That way, we can discreetly ask for cream and sugar in our beverages at the local gym to achieve more robust physiques.  Or, you could ask for whatever Oscar De La Hoya is taking to achieve a standing ovation at the local female impersonator club after your rendition of "If I Could Turn Back Time". -KD
