One of the more bizarre traditions of the NFL combine in Indianapolis every year is authored by NFL Network’s Rich Eisen. Eisen’s running of the 40 yard dash has become my favorite takeaway from pro football’s meat market, not because of the athleticism, but the clear lack thereof.

Eisen’s time of 6.18 seconds in the 40 earlier today was a personal best, surpassing his 6.22 from last year. I love how the combine’s official athletic supplier gives Eisen shoes and nothing else. Rich, my man, you could probably hit-”sub-six” if you just slipped on a pair of shorts.

Rich Eisen of NFL Network has an annual tradition of running the 40-yard dash, one that his colleagues and viewers seem to have a lot of fun with. As mentioned earlier by Dan Levy, Eisen ran a personal best of 6.25 seconds, which fell short of his sub-six-seconds goal. The last time I ran the 40 was in 2005, without a warmup, and it was 8.2 seconds. But to be fair, I was running it at night. And I’m Caucasian. And fat. Did I mention the Caucasian part? Four different people had sent this in by the time I started my day. It’s not even worth covering but there is dick-all happening aside from UFC 100 tomorrow and the All-Star break approaching. Football–even when it’s just the frontman of NFL Network getting his Twitter account hacked–trumps all.

It looks like a hack and smells like a hack, and Eisen thanked everyone “for their concern” this morning, which I found to be an odd choice of words. Sure, everyone was relieved that he finally regained control of his account, in three-hours time in the middle of the night, no less. Plus Eisen already has a reputation for using new media to get down, whether it’s deserved or otherwise. Either way, it’s a safe bet that Warren Sapp is not the cuddling type we all thought he’d be.

NFL Network’s Rich Eisen reprised his annual tradition of running the 40-yard dash, but the performance bears more of a resemblance to a 5K run. The best part of the video comes after Eisen turns in his time, when the image of Eisen’s run is overlapped with those of the prospects that attended the combine. I would summarize Eisen’s run as resembling a Colombian drug mule with diarrhea. I guess Deion has to keep his drugs somewhere…

Yesterday it came out that NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen's wife Suzy Shuster intercepted bikini pictures sent to him by foxy Philly news anchor Alycia Lane.  Today, the twice-divorced Lane, 34, cleared the air:

Lane insisted she was not a home-wrecker. The photos were simply part of "harmless" banter between "two old friends," and not an attempt to entice the Los Angeles-based Eisen or break up his nearly four-year marriage to former Fox and ABC sports reporter Suzy Shuster…

Lane described the photos as "nothing salacious" – "fun, normal, scrunched-together" beach shots that included her and her female friends… Lane said she captioned the photos to Eisen over the phone as she e-mailed them in seven separate files. None of the e-mails contained text. Lane declined to provide copies of the photos, saying they were not supposed to be made public…

The station issued a statement from Lane that read: "Rich Eisen and I have been good friends for almost 10 years and our relationship has always been purely platonic. We regularly exchange e-mails and photos…"

Sheesh, just some photos of gal pals on vacation.  Definitely not a big deal.  So just relax, Suzy.  Lots of my platonic female friends send me harmless pictures of them on vacation, oiled up in bikinis, eating bananas, licking popsicles… it's just harmless fun that makes platonic sex between friends that much hotter when you run into each at a media event.

NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen is married to ABC sideline reporter Suzy Shuster, who's kind of a "rich man's Rebecca Lobo" according to one of the miscreants at KSK.  Rich and Suzy share an email account, which is bad news for Rich, because it allowed Suzy to intercept sexy bikini pictures from local Philly reporter Alycia Lane.  From Page Six:

A seething Shuster wrote: "Boy, do you look amazing in a bikini . . . congrats! Whatever you're doing, (Pilates? yoga?) keep doing it – it's working for you. Anyway, sorry but those seven e-mails you sent to my husband, Rich, well, oops, they came to the e-mail address we both use from time to time, but no worries, I'll forward the beach shots as well as the ones of you dancing with your friends on to his main address. Do you have it?"

She then provides her hubby's private e-mail, "since you surely are trying so hard to get his attention. I mean, what better way to get a guy's attention than with skin! Best – Suzy Shuster Eisen"

Gee, thanks, Page Six.  That's a nice response and all, but where are the pictures?  It's like they don't even know how to fuel a scandal properly.  Send that shit my way and you readers get a full gallery.
