Joe Rogan Needs to Get Rid of the Seaward

Written by Brandon Stroud / 06.03.11

this is pretty much Joe Rogan

Here’s the short version of the story: Rampage Jackson is sort of a walking sex pervert. If you need this explained to you, check out a few of his onscreen interactions with female reporters. Maggie Hendricks of CageWriter.com wrote up an article about how he’s kind of a creep, and why we should stop letting him treat women like jokey worthless bags of vagina meat. Reasonable, right? Well, UFC color-commentator Joe Rogan doesn’t think so.

Rogan, who is mostly famous for making desperate people eat bugs and balls for temporary fame, is one of the regressive troglodytes on the Underground forum who reponded to Hendricks’ article by insulting her writing and physical appearance, and saying she’s just jealous of the prettier reporter. Rogan’s post stands out because 1) he works for UFC, and 2) he, a grown up adult man, calls a female professional a c*nt about fifteen times.

“I think Rampage occasionally gets out of line, and I think some of what he does in interviews [is] unfortunate. I also think that’s a part of his charm. He’s not a fucking dentist, he’s a cage fighter, and he’s one with a very unique personality. I don’t think he should be given a free pass for some of the questionable things he does, but I do think that this woman in question is all kinds of c*nty. The Skywalker [who posted earlier in the thread] broke down everything that’s wrong with her and her sh*tty, c*nty brand of writing to a f**king T. That, was worthy of the #BOOM.”

Where do you even start? Preferably not in the shallow waters of an MMA forum, where Rogan can say whatever awful thing he wants and have it met with the same rah rah bullsh*t as a stiff kick to the head.

Commenter Bat21: “sh*tty c*nty?!?!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! F**k, I’m still laughing after 5 minutes. You’re the man, Joe.”

Let’s think about that for a second.

RAMPAGE GOT HIMSELF A BABYSITTER

Written by Amber Jones / 01.10.10

rampagetruckBack in July of 2008, MMA fighter Rampage Jackson caused quite a bit of chaos in Newport Beach, CA when he went on a hit-and-run spree and evaded police.  It’s a wonder they ever caught him, though, since the master of disguise was driving a truck with his picture and name plastered all over it.

Last week Jackson had his final day in court and was given 3 years of informal probation, set to expire on January 7, 2013.

The Santa Ana, Calif., judge dismissed Jackson’s felony evading police charge and upheld his conviction for misdemeanor reckless driving because he completed 200 hours of community service, submitted to random drug testing and underwent psychological counseling.
“I will never see that judge in a courtroom again,” Jackson told the Orange County Register after the hearing. “I don’t see myself doing anything crazy again… I want to be a positive role model.”–Fanhouse.com via MMAFighting.com

He basically used the temporary insanity defense citing lack of food and sleep deprivation as the culprit following his UFC 86 loss to Forrest Griffin.  Since we all know how tough on crime the State of California is, I’m sure the 3 years of informal probation is really going to teach him a lesson.  I mean, he already spent 200 hours picking up garbage and reading to children.  I can’t believe he’s not rocking in a corner somewhere in perpetual fugue due to such a traumatic sentencing.

HEATHER NICHOLS: NOT A FAN OF DRY-HUMPING

Written by JOSH Z / 07.10.09

But then who is? That said, this incident with Heather Nichols and Quentin “Rampage” Jackson doesn’t resemble teenage denim-on-denim angst as much as it looks like a labradoodle in heat. Dude, this isn’t Vietnam. There are rules for this sort of thing. And Nichols, shockingly, was unimpressed with Jackson’s dearth of decorum. From SI’s Jimmy Trainia:

I decided to keep asking questions, assuming he would stop if I did that. So I asked another question, and he kept going. I asked ANOTHER question, and he kept going. At this point I was just freaking out, but still trying to be a professional and ask all the questions I was assigned to ask, and this has been interpreted by some viewers as me liking it and egging him on. This was definitely not the case. I was hired to do a job, which was to interview Rampage, so I decided to put up with his shenanigans and finish the interview.

Yeah, just because she didn’t kick him in the junk on site doesn’t mean that she was into it. Besides, Heather seems like the kind of girl that would wait a few weeks and then burn his house down. She just has that look of crazy in her eye, like she could kill you in your sleep just using everyday household items. And I applaud that. Innovation is what makes America great. That and our willingness to kill people that interfere with achieving our dreams.

RAMPAGE IS IN BIG TROUBLE

Written by Matt / 08.04.08

Former UFC light-heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's recent reckless driving arrest was a source of great hilarity at the time, what with all the sidewalk- and median-driving in a monster truck adorned with the visage of Rampage himself.  But it's like I always say: it's all fun and games until someone's unborn child dies.  Sadly, one of the victims of Rampage's rampage lost the healthy fetus she was carrying, and Jackson may likely face both criminal charges and a civil suit.

Holli Griggs, 38, lost a baby boy as a result of the crash, and her healthy pregnancy ended as a result of the drunken driving crash caused by fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, her fiancee [Bill Krebs] told the Daily Pilot newspaper… Krebs and Griggs are considering legal action, but "no amount of money will bring back my son," Krebs told the Daily Pilot…

The Orange County District Attorney's office said it is evaluating the medical complications and evaluating whether to charge Jackson in connection with the fetus's death. California law allows a person to be charged with murder if he or she exhibits an "abandoned and malignant heart" that results in a malicious death of an unborn child.

I'm no legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that translates to "Rampage is fucked."  People tend to be less friendly to you if you've been charged with fetal homicide.  It's like being accused of kitten rape.  Crimes against cute things are terrible for PR.

RAMPAGE IS MENTAL

Written by Matt / 07.17.08

Earlier today, news broke that Rampage Jackson was in police custody again, just a day after an extended bout of reckless driving led to his arrest at gunpoint.  This time, he wasn't arrested: friends noted his erratic behavior and asked for police assistance to make sure he didn't hurt anyone. MMA Weekly:

“We were asked to assist with him and make sure that he was safe and not a danger to himself or others,” said Lt. Rick Handfield of the Irvine Police Department. “He was exhibiting some unusual behavior that his friends that were there felt concerned.” Details of Jackson’s exact behavior were not forthcoming.

“At the conclusion of our contact, we did detain him and take him to be seen by mental health professionals,” continued Lt. Handfield. He was not released back to Irvine police. “We left him with the mental health professionals.”

A source "semi-close" to Jackson, according to CagePotato.com, had this to say:

Close friends of Rampage had been very concerned about him the past few days [before the arrest]. He was very depressed and acting increasingly strange. There is something wrong with his mental well-being. They do not believe it is drugs or another substance. I have heard from others who said they’ve been concerned about his mental state for the past year.

I honestly and sincerely hope that Rampage finds whatever help he needs and has the support of good friends throughout this ordeal.  Just think about what Britney Spears went through.  Now imagine if Britney was a huge black guy named Rampage who was one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the world.  The only choice would be to evacuate California and call the National Guard.

RAMPAGE JACKSON IS A CRIMINAL MASTERMIND

Written by Matt / 07.16.08

Recently deposed UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was arrested at gunpoint after a series of collisions in a monster-truck billboard of himself led to a wild police chase and, eventually, charges of felony evading, hit and run, and reckless driving.  Slainte!

Driving with a flat tire believed to have been damaged in an earlier accident on the 55 Freeway, Jackson was seen talking on his cellphone, crossing street dividers and twice driving onto sidewalks that "caused pedestrians to dive out of the way," Dondero said. "He was ignoring sirens, and ran several red lights before finally being detained," with a shredded tire at 18th Street and Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach.

Dondero said there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs contributing to Jackson's driving. "Why he did it, I don't know," Dondero said.

I'm just gonna throw this out there: guys named "Rampage" don't get their nickname by accident.  "Oh yeah, Rampage?  Real sweetheart.  Drives like a little granny, that Rampage."
