But then who is? That said, this incident with Heather Nichols and Quentin “Rampage” Jackson doesn’t resemble teenage denim-on-denim angst as much as it looks like a labradoodle in heat. Dude, this isn’t Vietnam. There are rules for this sort of thing. And Nichols, shockingly, was unimpressed with Jackson’s dearth of decorum. From SI’s Jimmy Trainia:
I decided to keep asking questions, assuming he would stop if I did that. So I asked another question, and he kept going. I asked ANOTHER question, and he kept going. At this point I was just freaking out, but still trying to be a professional and ask all the questions I was assigned to ask, and this has been interpreted by some viewers as me liking it and egging him on. This was definitely not the case. I was hired to do a job, which was to interview Rampage, so I decided to put up with his shenanigans and finish the interview.
Yeah, just because she didn’t kick him in the junk on site doesn’t mean that she was into it. Besides, Heather seems like the kind of girl that would wait a few weeks and then burn his house down. She just has that look of crazy in her eye, like she could kill you in your sleep just using everyday household items. And I applaud that. Innovation is what makes America great. That and our willingness to kill people that interfere with achieving our dreams.
Former UFC light-heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's recent reckless driving arrest was a source of great hilarity at the time, what with all the sidewalk- and median-driving in a monster truck adorned with the visage of Rampage himself. But it's like I always say: it's all fun and games until someone's unborn child dies. Sadly, one of the victims of Rampage's rampage lost the healthy fetus she was carrying, and Jackson may likely face both criminal charges and a civil suit.
Holli Griggs, 38, lost a baby boy as a result of the crash, and her healthy pregnancy ended as a result of the drunken driving crash caused by fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, her fiancee [Bill Krebs] told the Daily Pilot newspaper… Krebs and Griggs are considering legal action, but "no amount of money will bring back my son," Krebs told the Daily Pilot…
The Orange County District Attorney's office said it is evaluating the medical complications and evaluating whether to charge Jackson in connection with the fetus's death. California law allows a person to be charged with murder if he or she exhibits an "abandoned and malignant heart" that results in a malicious death of an unborn child.
I'm no legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that translates to "Rampage is fucked." People tend to be less friendly to you if you've been charged with fetal homicide. It's like being accused of kitten rape. Crimes against cute things are terrible for PR.

Earlier today, news broke that Rampage Jackson was in police custody again, just a day after an extended bout of reckless driving led to his arrest at gunpoint. This time, he wasn't arrested: friends noted his erratic behavior and asked for police assistance to make sure he didn't hurt anyone. MMA Weekly:
“We were asked to assist with him and make sure that he was safe and not a danger to himself or others,” said Lt. Rick Handfield of the Irvine Police Department. “He was exhibiting some unusual behavior that his friends that were there felt concerned.” Details of Jackson’s exact behavior were not forthcoming.
“At the conclusion of our contact, we did detain him and take him to be seen by mental health professionals,” continued Lt. Handfield. He was not released back to Irvine police. “We left him with the mental health professionals.”
A source "semi-close" to Jackson, according to CagePotato.com, had this to say:
Close friends of Rampage had been very concerned about him the past few days [before the arrest]. He was very depressed and acting increasingly strange. There is something wrong with his mental well-being. They do not believe it is drugs or another substance. I have heard from others who said they’ve been concerned about his mental state for the past year.
I honestly and sincerely hope that Rampage finds whatever help he needs and has the support of good friends throughout this ordeal. Just think about what Britney Spears went through. Now imagine if Britney was a huge black guy named Rampage who was one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the world. The only choice would be to evacuate California and call the National Guard.
Recently deposed UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was arrested at gunpoint after a series of collisions in a monster-truck billboard of himself led to a wild police chase and, eventually, charges of felony evading, hit and run, and reckless driving. Slainte!
Driving with a flat tire believed to have been damaged in an earlier accident on the 55 Freeway, Jackson was seen talking on his cellphone, crossing street dividers and twice driving onto sidewalks that "caused pedestrians to dive out of the way," Dondero said. "He was ignoring sirens, and ran several red lights before finally being detained," with a shredded tire at 18th Street and Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach.
Dondero said there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs contributing to Jackson's driving. "Why he did it, I don't know," Dondero said.
I'm just gonna throw this out there: guys named "Rampage" don't get their nickname by accident. "Oh yeah, Rampage? Real sweetheart. Drives like a little granny, that Rampage."

Long before Quinton "Rampage" Jackson earned a UFC belt for kicking Chuck Liddell's ass, he made a living kicking less-famous ass in Japan for UFC's competitor Pride. Here he is displaying the wit and charm that's made him so popular with the fans. And by "wit and charm" I mean he pretends to be a dog and humps a Japanese woman trying to interview him. You see, it's hilarious because he ignores her basic human rights. That's a huge turn-on in Japan.
I guess my only question is… where do I get in line to interview Rampage?
I understand some of you youngsters out there are all about the mixed martial arts, so it's worth mentioning that UFC 75 is this Saturday in London. On the undercard: Cro Cop returns from Gonzaga's foot to the head to fight Cheick Kongo, and Matt Hamill and Michael Bisping go head-to-head in a battle of undefeateds. The headline fight is Quinton "Rampage" Jackson against Dan Henderson, which will finally answer the question, "Who's tougher: people who wear a big chain, or people with cauliflower ear?"
And before you answer that question, take this Rampage interview into account:
You've spoken publicly about finding religion. Is there any conflict between being a Christian and beating people up for a living?
If you know anything about the Bible, anything about Christianity, being a Christian is all about fighting. We got to fight every day. There's nothing wrong with killing. There's something wrong with murder - they're two different things. If you murder somebody out of hate or whatever, that's wrong, but it's OK if you're fighting for your country, or your family, or for your life… or even for your food - in a structured way, where you're not trying to kill them.
Actually, trying to pick out just one quote was tough. I passed up his fondness for Asian women, how he "chillaxes" with his "homeboy" Mickey Mouse (then later denies that he knows Mickey), and his aggressive interruption of the interviewer. It's almost fun as watching him sexually harass women!
