The title of this video looks like a spam e-mail (“aek olympiakos 1-1 ( 15 – 10 – 2011 ) xevrakwma cala apo ton modesto”), but if you can get past that you’ll enjoy the generation-defining clip of a soccer player responding to being taunted by pulling down the taunter’s pants.

The most interesting and oddly-reassuring part of the video is that the guy who gets pantsed doesn’t get embarrassed or start beating the sh*t out of the guy, he just turns around, pulls up his pants and makes a “heh, okay, uh, whatever” gesture at the people watching.

It doesn’t do a lot to disprove the whole “soccer players are wimps” thing, though. I feel like I might’ve tried to put my cleats through that guy’s head.

Apologies for the sporadic posting today. This hotel wi-fi is being a real stingy whore. Anyway, let’s talk about Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, who may or may not have been kicked out of a mall in central Texas within the past week.

It seems Bryant and some members of his entourage created a disturbance when they were asked to exit the mall and … get this … pull up their britches. According to the report, Bryant and his posse had their underwear showing, leading an off-duty Dallas police officer to issue the warning.

Bryant was confrontational and originally refused to leave. Here’s the kicker: It’s not the first time Bryant has had issues at the mall. He had a “major disturbance” at the P.F. Changs and also caused a problem when he attempted to cut in line at the Apple Store. He’s also been cited for parking in the fire lane at the mall.

Dez is denying that he personally was given any warning, which almost sounds worse, really. If you want to wear your pants like that, Dezzie, just own it. Lots of private establishments set and enforce their own dress codes. Surely there was a store in that mall that sold belts.

Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb (ugh, just saying that feels so…weird) has always been one of the NFL’s model citizens. He never gets in trouble, loves his mama, and always treats women with respect in the vicinity of rolling cameras. But after seeing this, I have to wonder that Donovan’s good manners come from the fact that he’s just, well, kind of a dork.

And how old is McNabb? Isn’t he, like, 38? These are not pants that anyone should be wearing, and especially not someone as implicitly cool as a black guy. African-American readers, can I get a ruling on this? Doesn’t this count for demerits on the official Ledger of Chill?

Derp derp derp! Do I wear shorts today or pants today? Look, it’s hot outside. We get it. BUT MAKE A GD DECISION! You’re a quarterback, and you’re too old to be scrambling in the closet when getting dressed each morning (see what I did there?) And another thing…how many pockets do you really need? Unless you have, like, four cell phones, just stick to chinos.

But here’s the latest, it’s Brett Favre “leading” the Minnesota Vikings in a rendition of the “hit” “single,” “Pants On The Ground.” And really Farve just keeps yelling “Pants On The Ground” until he’s interrupted by his teammates with polite applause. And then he slaps Jared Allen on the ass really hard, because that’s the kind of stuff you can get away with when you throw four TDs in a playoff game.
