I stopped skateboarding when I was 14 and I realized that I’d never be any good at it. Plus all the work of constantly pushing with your foot seemed too much like running to me. This unnamed youngster will quit for two reasons. One, because his skateboard is about to be snapped in half, and two, because…well, you’ll just have to see it. Astros second baseman Kaz Mastui will be sidelined for two weeks after he has surgery on his anal fissures.  There's not much of interest in the news story, so let's pull a quote from Wikipedia:

An anal fissure is an unnatural crack or tear in the anus skin. As a fissure, these tiny tears may show as bright red rectal bleeding and cause severe periodic pain after defecation. The tear usually extends from the anal opening and located posteriorly in the midline. This location is probably because of the relatively unsupported nature of the anal wall in that location.

Eh, that's not nearly as bad as the time one of my roommates bought single-ply toilet paper.  I suffered slight discomfort on and off for like, two or three days.
