Alas, some stars burn too brightly, too quickly: middling English soccer star Marcus Bent and his fiancée, top-heavy serial WAG Gemma Atkinson, have broken off their engagement.  Atkinson, the British reality star and pinup who dated Bent before and after flings with Cristiano Ronaldo and Alan Smith, is supposedly the one who initiated the break-up.

Sources reckon Marcus, who plays for Birmingham City, and Gemma, who is currently starring as Peter Pan in panto, have drifted apart since they made their commitment to each other, and that it was Gemma who wanted the split.

‘She’s obviously upset by what has happened, but she just wants to move on,’ said an insider. ‘She’s determined to concentrate on her career now.’

Oh yes, her career.  She definitely needs to concentrate on that.  She needs to concentrate on tanning and wearing low-cut tops and finding another pro soccer player to date.  People may scoff, but’s not an easy career.  Believe me, I’ve tried.

Marcus Bent has spent his career getting bounced around from team to team in England, and he's also made his way around the bouncier side of the WAG circuit.  Having parted with Danielle Lloyd last year, Bent is now enjoying round two of his relationship with Gemma Atkinson, who's famous for… uh… (don't say big boobs don't say big boobs) … having big boobs?  (DAMN!)

Phew, that's a lot of background info in two poorly constructed sentences.  ANYWAY, Marcus and Gemma are presently enjoying a beach vacation, and if you're anything like me, you'll look at these pictures and say, "Oh my God, Marcus's legs are ripped.  Are his veins actually popping out of his thighs?"  Or I guess you can look at Gemma's body.  Whatever, I'm comfortable enough with my heterosexuality to enjoy a muscular man on the beach.  You know, just drink in the sight of his toned body and examine his shorts for a hint of his WAIT WHAT?

Ex-Miss Great Britain Danielle Lloyd has been dumped by English footballer Marcus Bent after a steamy sex session with rapper 50 Cent last weekend.

When Fiddy caught up with the buxom babe backstage he invited her back to his £2,500-per-night suit at the Landmark Hotel in West London, where they took a trip to the Candy Shop.

"Danielle was bragging to pals about how big he was – all over" a source told the Daily Mirror "She said he’s a mega-star in more ways than one."

According to another source Lloyd "looked a bit wobbly after her late night."
