Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans will receive some extra vacation time when the season starts as video has surfaced of the NBA’s Rookie of the Year driving at speeds above 120 mph over Memorial Day weekend. It is expected that the NBA will hand down a punishment of at least a 10-game suspension for the 20-year old. This is bad news for Kings season ticket holders, who can now expect to count home wins this season on two hands.
The video shows Evans speeding on Interstate 80, and he later admitted that he had no idea that he was traveling that fast. We can only assume it’s because he was wearing a blindfold or perhaps watching porn. Regardless, Evans’ arrest will most likely be used as an example to the rest of the league since the last NBA player who went out racing at ridiculous speeds didn’t live to be punished.
