Aside from Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, most of us would be hard pressed to name another Olympic swimmer, especially those from other countries, because USA! and all that patriotic jazz. But over in South Africa, gold medal swimmer Chad le Clos is the bee’s knees to all the kids, because he took home top the gold in the 200m butterfly, as well as a silver in the 100m butterfly. Whether or not he’s wearing sleeveless leather vests and hanging out with Jersey Shore cast members is still a mystery to me.

Chad had some people concerned, though, when he arrived late to Dubai this week for the 2012 Fina/Arena Swimming World Cup. What the hell, bro? Why were you late to this huge event? It’s cool, he was just making a young girl’s dream come true by attending her high school dance.

What started as a simple case of a pervert trying to get his freak on has turned into a life-ruining experience for one Seattle husband. Steven Meeks is facing one count of voyeurism after a girl on a high school volleyball team discovered a camera in the bathroom that her and her teammates were using during the night of a slumber party last November.

Even worse for Meeks is that his wife is the volleyball team’s coach, so I imagine she will be hiring a lawyer to bump, set and spike half of his assets in the near future. That is, unless she falls for his incredibly solid excuse.

Meeks told police that he placed the camera in the bathroom for his sexual gratification, according to probable cause documents. He said that his intentions were to spy on a female co-worker who he knew would be using the restroom on Monday, but he said he was aware of the slumber party and that the girls would be using the bathrooms.

Man, this dude has got to be the biggest dipsh*t in the history of perverts. I can just picture the interrogation now:

Cop: “Let me get this straight, you scumbag – you not only set up the camera to spy on a female co-worker…”
Meeks: “Oh yeah.”
Cop: “But you also knew that a high school volleyball team would be using this bathroom, too?”
Meeks: “Oh, definitely. No doubt. So what now, do we high five?”

If your girlfriend gets a little extra pissed at you this week for not holding the door or giving her a Dutch oven or sleeping with her sister, you can thank Joel Northrup for weakening the man line in the battle against supreme chick dominance. Northrup is a sophomore wrestler at Linn-Mar High in Iowa, and he recently lost his opening round match at the Iowa state tournament by forfeit… because he refused to wrestle a girl.

Cassy Herkelman is now the first girl to have ever won a match in Iowa state tournament history, thanks to Northrup’s inability to see through gender bias and treat her as a peer with respect. Or maybe someone was afraid to get a visit from the Boner Fairy.

So why, Yahoo!, did Northrup succumb to this camel toe clutch?

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Cassy and Megan [Black] and their accomplishments,” Northrup said in a statement given to the media following his official forfeit. “However, wrestling is a combat sport and it can get violent at times.

“As a matter of conscience and faith, I do not believe that it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner. It is unfortunate that I have been placed in a situation not seen in most other high school sports in Iowa.”

Damn, he’s got a good point. Only in Midwest high school wrestling can religion-induced chivalry interfere with the action. But when I played baseball growing up, anytime a girl joined a team we always tried our hardest to strike her out or hit line drives at her or see her boobs. To be fair, that last one may apply to my coed softball league.
