I have a confession to make – I’ve been letting you down. What’s worse is that I’ve knowingly been letting you down. I’ve failed to come through on the topic that matters above all else – hot daughters of professional athletes and coaches. I know, I deserve your scorn and the shame that comes with it. Hopefully in time you’ll find it in your hearts to forgive me.
As for right now, I want to start making it up to all of you. Thankfully, in my morning reading, my buddy Chris pointed out a delightful post over at Boston Bar Stool about Wayne Gretzky’s daughter, Paulina. I’ve never been one to use hyperbole, but she may be the greatest offspring of a professional/collegiate athlete/coach ever. For instance, Tony LaRussa’s daughter, Bianca, is here…

Again, I’m a St. Louis Cardinals fan and Tony LaRussa is one of my favorite people on Earth, so obviously his daughter could look like that lady from “Two and a Half Men” and I’d still be like, “OK let’s do this.” That should speak volumes about my opinion of Paulina.
So I tip my cap to you, Great One. Way to slip that puck by.
This is Lacey Wilson, who represented the state of Massachusetts in the Miss USA pageant. Even though Miss Mass shows considerable talent here, she was still a 75 to 1 underdog to win the title (she didn’t). These arbitrary beauty contests disguised as humanitarian efforts almost always come down to the (under)wire.
