“You’re too nice.” That’s the message that Steven Seagal once told Anderson Silva, who will take on Stephan Bonnar in tonight’s UFC 153 main event. Seagal told Silva that he needed to stop fighting with emotion and instead fight with determination. That’s some sage advice from the undisputed master of the front kick.
And now it’s Silva’s wrestling coach, Eric Albarracin, who has some advice for Bonnar: “Don’t piss off Anderson. Don’t say anything about Brazil.” Intriguing. I’m not sure what bad stuff Bonnar could say about Brazil. Perhaps, “Gee, I hope I’m not kidnapped and held for ransom by drug cartel assassins while I’m here”, but that’s sort of common sense. I suppose the worst thing that Bonnar could say would be: “Brazilian women are ugly.” If he does say that, I’ll fight Bonnar myself.
So here we are, set to enjoy UFC 153, as Silva will surely put on one hell of a show for his fellow countrymen in Brazil tonight. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, too, as we have ESPN’s UFC guru Chuck Mindenhall stopping by to chat with us and provide analysis for one hell of a fight card.
