BMX Bikers All Fall, Spectators Later Admit It Was Funny

Written by samerochocinco / 01.14.11

We all laugh when one person messes up at the start of a race, but what happens if EVERYONE messes up the start of the race? Observe the above video and find out.

Flozell Adams is impressed with that false start.

I also like how whoever was in charge decided not to just restart the whole race but make them adapt to something that wasn’t their fault. I bet he said it builds character or some shit like that. Rub some bleach on it, you wussies!

The slow motion really makes this video. You can watch eight privileged, rich assholes eat ramp at the same time. That’s efficiency.

Danny MacAskill Rode His Bike Home

Written by Ashley Burns / 11.19.10

Danny MacAskill is a world famous BMX rider, or so I’m told, because I don’t know the first thing about competitive riding other than yelling “OHHHHHHHHHH!” whenever someone busts their ass during the X-Games. Nevertheless, after watching some of his videos and giggling endlessly over his name, I have a newfound respect for MacAskill’s work because he’s both incredibly creative and a royal badass.

His latest efforts involved a ride from Edinburgh to his hometown Dunvegan, in the Isle of Skye, which sounds like something from World of Warcraft. I don’t know that personally because I don’t play games on my computer. I use it for blogging and tracking my pushups. I did 6,000 this morning. In 2 minutes. Each key I strike on this keyboard cries out in pain. But I digress.

The video footage of MacAskill’s ride, which was sponsored by Red Bull, is pretty awesome, especially his flips in front of Edinburgh Castle. You can read Danny’s Q&A on his ride here and you can also view the “Way Back Home” ride on the next page, as well as a little collection of his highlights that I gathered from the Interwebs… WHILE DRINKING MOUNTAIN DEW!

BMX GUY SHOULD JUST FACE REALITY…

EMBED-Street BMX Face Plant – Watch more free videos

…and realize he’s never going to make it as a professional bike rider person thinger – I don’t know – whatever they call themselves. X-Gamer? XTREME CYCLIST? Unemployed bicycle messenger? Whatever.

Either way, that’s some gnarly face plant action right there. Did I just type gnarly? Sheesh. Now his pretty little face will more than likely permanently bear the mark of his epic suckiness. Dork.

IT’S THAT NEW JAPANESE THROWING BIKE

Written by JOSH Z / 05.06.09

Here’s another guy who made the mistake of trying to slide down a stair rail on camera on camera before getting enough practice in. And really, the best part of this is the bike flipping through the air with the potential of decapitating him. I don’t know whether I’m depressed or annoyed that he manages to get up so quickly. I guess the painful part is when he pedals back home to a mother that doesn’t love him.

IT’S OKAY, HIS FACE BROKE HIS FALL

Written by JOSH Z / 04.14.09

“Mom, I don’t think I wanna be a BMX star no more.” At least the guy had his friend there to help. Help with the bike, apparently. Hey douchebag, I’m pretty sure the bike’s okay. The replay is awesome here, as you can see the bike actually land on the back of dude’s head for good measure.

At least he wore a helmet. Wait, no, I don’t see a helmet. Just really long hair.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS DIDN’T WORK

Written by Matt / 02.05.09

What’s amazing about this video, to me, isn’t that some guy is riding his bike off a roof. That I’m used to. It’s that he very obviously pushes his handlebars down to attempt a front flip, and it’s immediately obvious he has never attempted a front flip on a bicycle before.

“Hey, wanna ride your bike off a roof and try to land on this downward slope?”
“No way, man. Too easy. I gotta put my spinal cord at risk if I wanna feel alive.”
