Bellator Fighting Championships will begin its third season of mixed martial arts action in August, with featured fights including heavyweight and bantamweight tournaments, as well as a 115-pound division for women. CEO Bjorn Rebney has been steadily building a strong product, directing his promotion’s MMA tournaments at predominantly Hispanic markets. Bellator currently has a contract to be aired on ESPN Deportes, but the popularity is growing among traditional networks. Rebney is also working to debut his company on pay-per-view to capture a global audience.
