This week, With Leather’s search for the most ridiculous, hilarious, and amazing promo photos from the world of professional wrestling ventures into the previously untapped category of “candid 8 x 10s.” These are the publicity photos that didn’t get bordered and stacked in front of wrestlers during autograph signings, but were close enough to end up signed and sold in plastic card sheets at your local hobby store. These are just as good and sometimes even worse, if that is possible.

(On a personal note, I guess we’re calling them ‘glamour shots’ now, because since we started the regular feature, a lot of other sports sites have started posting galleries and calling them that. And, uh, sending them to With Leather as a “tip.” Thanks for the tip, other guys!)

With Jennie Finch gone, we don’t spend a lot of time writing about women’s softball. It’s a horrible, lookist oversight. But hey, to our credit, the only time we talk about softball at all is when Bill Cosby’s wearing a Ghost Dad softball tee 25 years ago. Even then, softball stories are rarely adorable.

That changes today, thanks to Penn Quakers junior Georgia Guttadauro. She made a great diving catch during the College Station Regional Tournament Central in a game against Arizona and popped up as #2 on SportsCenter’s top 10 plays. That’s a dream come true for a lot of young players, and a rare occurrence for someone who plays non-media-juggernaut sports and/or doesn’t end up starting for the Heat or the Red Sox. What’s adorable is that cameras were on hand to catch Georgia’s reaction to making the list … her smile, her goofy laugh, and her sweet but also-sorta-sad comments like “I’m Georgia, and this is as famous as I’ll ever be.”

You never know, Georgia.

Back in July of 2011, we posted a video of Spanish golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez’s borderline erotic, hypnotically fascinating warm-up routine. It wasn’t a viral smash (nobody “did the Miguel Angel Jimenez” for a week or anything) but it was a wonderful piece of film to watch. Guy is basically touching his junk to the ground in a squat, playing a sport and smoking a cigar at the same time. Just wonderful.

Now, thanks to some forward-thinking gent at Golf Monthly, comes a head-on look at The Miguel Angel Jimenez, explained from the mouth of the man himself. He does his golf yoga, his “little dancing move” and practically jams a golf club up his ass, and yes, he starts off the clip with a cigar in his hand. If there are three things Miguel Angel Jimenez loves, it’s (1) golf (2) smoking (3) EXTREME LIMBERNESS.
