If Ronda Rousey and Mike Tyson are hanging out somewhere, it’s a thing you should be a part of.
As of two weeks ago, Ronda Rousey is the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Ronda stopped by Good Day LA to chat with Steve and Maria about how she stays focused, and what her plans are for the future, not to mention hanging with “Iron” Mike Tyson for a while. (via My FOX LA)
I’ll leave my normal editorializing about Iron Mike at the door (spoiler alert: I’m not his biggest fan), because Ronda Rousey and Mike Tyson are seriously on a morning talk show discussing how they’d like to battle Achilles and whether or not a neck crank will make you collapse and die a la Bloodsport. Frank Observation Ronda Rousey is my favorite, and Steve Edwards getting calmly explained answers about emotionless punch-destroyers is always entertaining.
Here’s the clip:
As an added bonus, the My FOX LA website has some behind the scenes photos (full credit to them, just to say it again) including this one, which sorta represents my heart as it relates to Ronda Rousey.

I wish the bad things in Tyson’s past didn’t exist for multiple reasons. I don’t want bad things to have happened to people, obviously, is the main reason. The other is that I’d really like to like the guy. It’s clearly a smaller reason, but he’s sure entertaining. I feel bad about even mentioning that part, but it’s the part I can most clearly relate to what I just watched. If he weren’t a PERSON WHO HAS DONE VERY BAD THINGS, he’d be a really likable sumbitch.
It really seems like the older Tyson gets the wiser he is. Compare the things hes saying now to what he said back in his day and its nuts.
Maria is both intimidated and turned on at the same time. Not sure by which one.
I love it how Steve had no idea how to respond to any of Mike’s statements (not sure if I would either).
Also, Hipster Glass Ronda Rousey is now becoming my favorite Ronda.
