WWE Elimination Chamber has come and gone. I rode from Austin, TX, to New Orleans on Sunday for the show, stayed Monday for the epic WrestleMania XXX announcement press conference, got my picture taken with Mark Henry and … well, I’m still here. I don’t get back into Austin until Wednesday night.
That said, I don’t want to leave you without a Best and Worst of Elimination Chamber report, so I’ve organized something special. BEHOLD, for the first time in Best and Worst history, a report comes to you in the form of a podcast!
The lovely folks at Trew To The Game were nice enough to have me on, and if you wanted to know what I thought of the show, holy shit this is everything I thought about the show. We cover the matches, the booking, the botched bucket spots, the crazy people in the audience around us and more. I’m really proud of it, and I hope you’ll take some time to download it, subscribe, listen, whatever.
Please click on this moving image of Mark Henry splitting Randy Orton’s wig to listen.

THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE

2nd…
someone please type a transcript so i can read that until i am able to listen to the podcast, thank you in advance
Dittoed!
Agreed.
Also agreed, but only because that intro plus Trew’s voice does not equal something I want to listen to.
that intro is funny as shit, dude
Agreed
The intro is the RVD Theme of podcasts and it’s great.
make it happen
Yes, some people work at jobs for a living!
Can’t wait to get out of class!
Do you know who does podcasts instead of typed reports?
Dangerous minorities who come across our border to steal our jobs.
DEY TOOK ER JERBS!
Calmer than you are, Dude.
I’m about to go swing some kettlebells while listening to Brandon’s voice, because it feels like the right thing to do.
(I don’t understand, what is wrong with my voice)
It’s deep, suggesting above average levels of testosterone. It makes me want to life heavy things and become a better man.
Lift heavy things, even.*
I have a deep voice too. I’m a beast.
The voice! THE VOICE!!!
It’s like the voice that God wishes he had.
You don’t shoot kick a guy in the dick, what is wrong with you? Not cool miz, not cool.
The one day I forget to bring my headphones to work. Son of a bitch.
KENNEL FROM HELL MATCH REFERENCE! I blocked that from my memory.
I LIVED that shit.
Executive VP of Talent Relations badge unlocked, tempted to stop commenting since it doesn’t get any better than Big Johnny.
Tell me about it, I just unlocked mine and I don’t want to let it go, lol
I’m just a smark. :(
I mentioned this last night but I need all the With Leather Daddies, Wrestling Bros and Jr Wrestling Bros to change my mind on Dean Ambrose. Raw was the first time I’d seen him actually wrestle and I thought he was kinda sucky, also I’m starting to hate his promos. I still like the Shield as a whole but I feel like it’s greater than the sum of it’s parts.
Start here: [www.youtube.com]
hey it’s Cameron!
The Ambrose v Rollins series of matches are so good they got me to like (and defend!) Tyler Black.
Then there’s all the stuff he did with Regal in FCW, here’s a decent length match between thems two (for me this is almost all that’s needed: If Regal co-signs a guy hard enough to work a program with him at this point in his career, I’m on board): [www.youtube.com]
@Andy, so far this isn’t helping (I’m 5 minutes in). Why does he make goofy faces all the time, what’s he doing with his hands? He’s like a spastic kid that’s been taken off his meds.
Ambrose is like Cesaro, where he had a thing that worked on the indies, but when he got to FCW they tinkered with it enough to make him work anywhere. I’m not the biggest Ambrose fan, but he’s certainly got more of an upside than Rollins and Reigns.
If you don’t like Ambrose’s spastic crazed thing that’s fine. I dig it and I think it makes his promos come off very raw and unsettling. It’s easy to overstate how good he is in the ring but I think he’s rather quite good.
I like Rollins but never cared for Tyler Black. I think the dude could do the face CM Punk thing well. He has a lot of energy and doesn’t seem as smarmy as Punk.
I’ll second what Brandon said about him. As far as his in-ring style I personally like the spastic hands and emoting, it makes him seem more unstable and unpredictable. I’d rather watch a guy act like what’s happening in the ring is REALLY affecting him than a guy who doesn’t sell, doesn’t attempt to show any kind of tension with his opponent.
I’ve only seen a couple episodes of NXT and I don’t think he was on any of them. I’ll check out some more later tonight. I just want to be cool like you guys!
Not every wrestler is for everyone. I like Ambrose, but it isn’t like he’s Cesaro or DBry or anything.
I mean FCW not NXT.. damn it.
He is currently my favourite wrestler, by a stretch, but I can recognise, objectively, that he’s pretty goofy. On occasion, I’ll wince at how over the top he is, but, it reminds me of old school stuff, so I’m okay. If everybody acted like him, we’d have a problem, but, paradoxically, his old school silliness seems like a breath of fresh air at the moment, especially when compared to Orton or whoever. He seems like he is having fun, so I have fun watching him. It may wear thin over time.
I don’t wear panties, but if I did, they would have melted off already. Brandon you ought to do more radio type stuff too. Great voice.

Just in case you wanna listen to more of Stroud’s voice. These are the best.
The ladies adjacent to my cubicle are in love.
LLCoolB
Chris Trew sounds EXACTLY like David Sedaris.
Brandon, no offense, but that is not even close to how I assumed you would sound. Your voice is angelic.
Thanks! I get this whenever somebody hears my voice. Everyone assumes I sound like a lisping Urkel or whatever because I write about wrestling on the Internet.
just once you should do a lisping urkel for like ten seconds of a podcast or whatever just to trick new listeners
You can be on my show whenever, B-stro.
I have to second Kooky Kapybara… I don’t know what I could imagine someone’s voice sounding like, but Brandon sir, your voice is just so deep and velvety it was like listening to a podcast wrapped in a cozy throw.
You mean you don’t sound like Jack Swagger?
It’s nice to know that the Golden-voiced Hobo is back on his feet…AGAIN!
Glorious, glorious glorious. I listen to podcasts when it’s -40 degrees with the windchill BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT I DO
This web player for the pod cast is fucking awful. This is nothing to say the content of it (I’m only 4 minutes in) but the software itself is shit.
Just download it. Only takes a minute or 2.
I would but I hate iTunes even more.
Neevveerrrmind. I didn’t even notice the non-iTunes download link.
I was just going to say that :-)
Damnit I didn’t bring headphones! Guess I will just have to skip class. The teacher will understand, right?
I’m sorry, I know they are friends of yours, but MAN is that show hard to listen to. I’d be down with more B&W podcasts, but not with the same cohosts.
Each match is just getting singular bests/worsts pretty much :( I wish Brandon was examining some of the better spots of the night!
my goodness, you have an exceptional voice. its like Krieger and Garrison Keillor sexed one another and birthed a voice box.
Wow, Brandon’s voice sound so manly… like a dragon bear…. no… a SHARK DRAGON BEAR. RWAR.
Normally I’d be all over this, but I came here because Jose Canseco explained gravity. I’m stunned it wasn’t up here at WithLeather within seconds. SECONDS!
I LISTENED TO THE FIRST 30 SECONDS OF THAT AND THEN STRAIGHT OFF. THIS WHOLE PODCAST SCAM HAS GOT LAZY BASTARD WRITTEN ALL OVER IT.
what are you on about
HOW DARE YOU GIVE UP YOUR TIME TO EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT METHODS OF DELIVERING FREE ENTERTAINMENT? You’re a disgrace, Brandon.
YOU’RE A FINE WRITER STROUD, CONCISE AND WITTY. I’LL TAKE A GOOD 10 MINUTE READ OVER 50 MINUTES OF WHATEVER THE HELL THAT BLOODY RACKET WAS.
stop capitally lettering me
no
Keep in mind…while a good majority of people who will listen to this are coming there from this site, others will not be familiar with Brandon and pro graps as a whole. Gotta keep it more mainstream so the casual listener will be able to relate to the topic at hand.
I think the only way to deal with SCJA is drown him in chants of “WHO ARE YA?! WHO ARE YA?!”
@Glen Coco: I give up my time to work as well. If I do a sub-par job I hear about it.
It’s only fair.
My favorite conversation with a kid at a live show was about whether or not the kid could take Hornswoggle in a fight. I liked that kid.
Brandon, the next time you do anything audio again, can you please find an excuse to bring back your John Laurinaitis impression?
Sure. I fall into it pretty frequently, which is odder and odder the longer he hasn’t been on television.
That intro is weird.
it’s supposed to be
I know that, but still weird.
Weird intro is weird.
I like it!
Twas entertaining then went on too long
Basketball shooooeeesss
I can’t listen to the podcast. I click the link and then I just see the copper background of the page. Nothing else. I can go to the main site, but once I try to any of the shows… same result
Do you got pop up blocker on? Cause the audio shows up in its own window.
Tech savvy I am not.
No need for you to be tech savvy – I just tinkered with my ad blocker to let me see the site properly. Thanks. :)
I’d have to say the most odd encounter I’ve had with a child at a WWE event was at the Royal Rumble 2012 traveling down to St. Louis, explaining to a 7-year-old why Jericho’s nickname was “Y2J”, and what “Y2K” was, half of a decade before his existence.
I’ve had the same experience, but with a 12 year old.
And then I went into dry heaves of sadness.
I remember sitting through that New Year’s countdown as a teenager thinking “I know this isn’t really gonna send us into a Road Warrior-like society…BUT WHAT IF?”
Also, the “This is Sportscenter” commercial they made for Y2K was hilarious.
i am contractually obligated to post this video when Y2K is brought up because I love Pat Barry too dang much.
Enjoy the Bulls game tonight Brandon. And as others have pointed out, great voice for radio you got there. You could be the next Ken Nordine.
THE VOICE ! MY GOD, WHAT AN A-M-A-Z-I-N-G VOICE !!!
Holy shit. Brandon’s balls must hang to his knees.
LOL! +1!
worst wrestling moment i experienced live: “WHO’S EXCITED FOR SUMMERFEST?!”
You sir, have obviously never lived in Milwaukee.
i have not. but i did attend what is considered one of the worst raws of all time.
This thread has a habit of getting really mad at people who criticize, but here goes anyway. I understand there were circumstances beyond your control, but I think this experiment was a relative failure compared to your lists and I would prefer the lists exclusively in the future. That said I always love your commentary.
And maybe part of it was that I couldn’t stand the Tammy person. She seemed to take way more off the table than she brought.
I liked the podcast, good stuff. The part where you explained why Cesaro did not suck had me in stitches. I did miss the top 10 comments though.
Alright, just finished it.
It was…not good. Not terrible but not good. The thing that kept dragging it down was the need of Trew to keep trying to pull Tammy into it. She clearly had an understanding of professional wrestling but not these particular storylines. So the constant need to try and play catch up with her was a real momentum breaker. And I know that some of that was also done for some of the listening audience, but at the same time, it’s like listening to Simmons talk about basketball only for him to stop every 5 minutes and explain rules of basketball to you. It really screws with the flow of the show.
My biggest complaint is that it was shallow. I know that a podcast is a different beast than print but even when I don’t agree with Brandon, I enjoy reading a deeper analysis of some of the more bigger moments of a show. That just didn’t happen here. Whether or not it’s related to my first point, I don’t know, but it was just a very shallow B&W.
I don’t like Trew that much because I felt like he kept talking over Brandon and Tammy. But I haven’t heard any of their other podcasts, so I don’t know if that’s a thing with him or not.
I did like the stuff with the interaction of the children, having to be a recent PPV (NoC) and being the adult male (and girlfriend) in a sea of kids, it can make for an interesting experience. And like everyone else said, Brandon has a great voice for this kind of thing.
TLDR: If you do another, talk as if you’re talking to wrestling fans and get as deep as you do in print.
I don’t want to delve too deeply into the intricacies of audio broadcasting, but I think it’s worth pointing out that someone like Tammi (SP?) is necessary as an entry point for casual fans. She’s representing the 95% of the general public who don’t spend their Monday nights on open discussion boards on pro-wrestling.
That’s fine and dandy, but for people who really like wrestling, listening to her ask questions every 5 seconds is seriously annoying. Brandon doesn’t stop during his articles to explain to people who don’t watch wrestling what’s going on, it’s a bit jarring when he does it in the podcast.
Sometimes she wasn’t even asking a question, she was just listening and Trew would yank her in and say “Did you get that Tammy?” That annoyed me more than her asking questions. The explanation of the Kennel from Hell match, that was fine. But some of the other stuff was just downright unnecessary to even casual or former watches of pro wrestling.
…Okay, the “What is HGH’ question from her on a sports podcast was the dumbest thing asked. How does someone who podcasts sports not know what fucking HGH is?
I have no qualms to admitting that Brandon’s articles are the ONLY reason I started watching WWE again. This is from someone who” really liked wrestling” enough to fly halfway across the planet to attend two Wrestlemanias and still managed to become completely disenfranchised by the product to the point of total abstinence. In fact if you look at my early comments in the open discussions, the majority of them involve me asking “What the fuck is going on? Who the hell is this guy?” Luckily for me, the other people on the board were willing to answer my questions instead of screaming “SHUT UP AND WATCH THE WRESTLES!” Christ, if you want smarky holier than thou commentary, just sign up to one of the hundred incestous wrasslin’ forums out there.
It doesn’t help that her contributions consisted mainly of “that joke isn’t funny” and “NO I DIDNT DONT EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT”. I feel like it would’ve been better put together if it were just Chris and Brandon.
qualms with*
UPROXX really needs to work on their mobile layout.
Answering questions in a live forum thread is not at all equivalent to interrupting a conversation (one being recorded for entertainment purposes) to answer Pro Wrestling 101 questions. It wrecks the entire god damn flow of the conversation. I’m not saying she’s an idiot for asking the questions but I am saying that Trew is a crap host for dragging those questions to her and ruining the whole fucking flow of the show.
Also, if I wanted holier than thou commentary, I’d could just stay right here.
I’ve not had a chance to listen yet, but Michelanvalo’s criticisms seem fair and measured. Not to say they’re true, as I don’t know, but they don’t seem like the kind of thing a random internet wrestling nerd would say.
And I say this as the chief guy around here who yells at people and tells them to beat it to other parts of the internet. So, Michelanvalo, you seem like you belong here. Please do not go to IRC or wherever wrestle peoples talk about wrestles these days. Tumblr???
Touché. First and foremost, you’ve got to appreciate that we’re not talking about a purely pro-wrestling driven podcast and you should gauge your criticism accordingly. The format wasn’t perfect, but it had to pander to a wider audience and in my humble opinion, was successful in doing so.
This is the only place I ever visit to discuss pro wrestling. There’s no other place on the internet that I could even think of. Most of the old haunts I visited as a teen (the late 90s, early 00s) are probably dead and buried. And if they aren’t, I don’t want to know what they’ve mutated into.
Also, tumblr? What do I look like? A sadomasochist?
@THESTINGER
To be fair on Michelanvalo, my criticism is directed more at this divisive idea that if you’re not a smark or “savvy,” you have no right to be talking about pro-wrestling. It’s probably one of the single most off putting aspect of the online pro-wrestling community.
Sure, wrestling should be approachable for all people. It’s like a good comic book: entertaining in itself but rewarding for those that know the back issues. I can’t read comic books these days because DC and Marvel are way too self referential and require you to buy a million books to know what’s going on.
But I think those that are a little annoyed that they didn’t get the normal analysis WL is known for aren’t necessarily wrong to feel that way. Especially if they convey that in a respectful and constructively criticized manner.
but, again, he might be wrong and the podcast might be the best thing ever.
@Michelanvalo
Indeed. I think this is my experience with 1996 WWF.com Java chatrooms resurfacing.
Wait, is that the vibe you were getting from me, Glen? Cuz that’s not at all what I was conveying. I was trying to criticize it from the point of being able to listen to it. I have no problem with new fans wanting to get into, I don’t even have an issue with “marks” who root for the good guys and boos the bad guys, that’s totally cool. But the time to ask questions is not during a review of a show.
If being a smark is wrong I don’t want to be right.
(This might be funnier if I weren’t actually just a mark.)
That’s the vibe I got Michelanvalo, but admittedly I was off the mark. Hopefully we can put this episode behind is and form an all-conquering tag team.
Okay, but I call being Kane.
Damn THESTINGER, how about you actually listen to the thing first?
Just a thought.
talk about some serious neck nuts. wow man.
God, that podcast was brutal to listen to. Trew’s voice is hard to listen to. And Tami just annoys me.
maaan, kids can be very awesome sometimes .. or is it your secret superpower, brandon ?!
this was really really MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT !!!
I actully wish you do this like once every 4 months (maybe) if you can !
Sweet Radio Voice, Brandon!
That is not how I expected Chris Trew to sound at all.
Huzzah for wrestling podcastery, but when do we get to listen to our favourite oldies? Is that in hour two?
Do you have anything by Cheap Trick?
*hands DevilDinosaur a platinum +1*
That was great. I joined my first Open Discussion Thread for Elimination Chamber and then I get opened up to a new podcast, too. Great stuff.
You need to get into voice acting stat Brandon. You need to be a character on Archer. Deep Voice guy. I don’t care. Make something happen.
A surprise podcast instead of a column?
I think that’s called going “the full Bill Simmons”.
When can we expect part 2?
Not sure, but soon, hopefully.
Can we make requests for part 2?
‘Cause I’d like to hear Brandon sing Barry White.
Wow, the response has been… unnecessarily harsh?
Life interferes sometimes, 8 page writeups take some time, ya know? Relax.
yeah, no kidding, and sometimes you just want to change it up and not do the same thing all the time
Hold on, I think I know how to give people a tiny bit of what they came here for:
Best: Mark Henry
WIGS SPLIT
Worst: The Rock
HEY NICE HUSTLE, HAVE ANOTHER CHINLOCK
Well doing live recording is hard. You don’t have to to write something then realize it doesn’t work. Also it can easily meander from one place to another.
Re: everyone complaining that this is not the normal column format and that I didn’t analyze matches enough
This was going to be a live report anyway. All I was gonna talk about was arena concessions, my experience and the people in my section anyway. See any other live report. This is just the way to accomplish that and still go clap for the Rock or whoever at the Mania press conference. You’re also getting a Raw report tomorrow, and every other week ever.
eh, whatever I enjoyed it. When’s part 2 coming out?
Your live reports, like the Wrestlemania one, were more entertaining to me than this was.
I demand satisfaction.
Brandon,
Be flattered that the B&W is such a part of so many people’s routines that to shake things up with a podcast incurs this kind of vocal protest.
I would have liked more in depth wrestles breakdowns, but I enjoyed the live experience recap.
Aside from my soul being crushed to learn you don’t sound like Hornswoggle, I can no complaints. Go on with your bad self.
Imma gonna refresh this page eight times so you get the same amount of hits you’d normally get from me for a B&W post.
I like words, written or spoken. These are my views.
Those are some nice views you’ve got there. :)
Number are better and ESPN tells me they never lie
Can we have it as a slideshow?
I’m not usually a podcast kind of guy, but this works for me through the first 15 minutes.
I liked it. It wasn’t perfect and Tami was annoying at times, but I’m glad I listened to it. Thanks for taking the time out of your vacation to do anything wrestlelated for us!
Looking forward to part two as well.
A podcast? Eh, your just living your life, I guess.
That was a delight. Anything over 30 minutes long I usually clench up at, but I could listen to that for another 50 minutes.
For those of you who fear change, consider yourselves warned. I have it on good authority that tomorrows B&W Raw report is going to just be a video of Brandon doing interpretive airsex, set the the Jurassic Park theme song slowed down 1000%
[soundcloud.com]
That was genuinely funny.
Thanks for trying something different, B-Stroud. Keeps things interesting.
If you didn’t like the podcast, consider yourself warned. I have it on good authority that tomorrow’s B&W Raw Report will just be a 56 minute video of Brandon doing interpretive air sex set to the Jurassic Park theme slowed down 1000% [soundcloud.com]
I had some serious commenting issues earlier. Thought my comment wasn’t posting, thus, multiple posts.
If you fear change and didn’t like the podcast, consider yourself warned. Tomorrows B&W Report is going to be a video of Brandon doing interpretive air sexing set to the Jurassic Park theme song.

I’m a heterosexual male and listening to Brandon’s voice made me intensely jealous of Destiny. He’s the Keith David of internet bloggers.
I hereby formally request that from now on The Miz is referred to as “semi-failed The Miz”.
This intro has killed me.
As a radio guy, I’m jealous of Brando’s voice.
So I googled Chris Trew, and it’s like looking in a mirror that gives you long hair and a beard. Like, seriously, I think I’ve found my doppelganger, and we were born a week apart, too.
Hey Brandon my friend who your columns have helped make a wrestling junkie again texted me “Are you listening to the WL Podcast” and I was all like “HE MADE ANOTHER ONE?! YESSSSS!” and then I came here and listened and my reaction was justified cuz that was rad and you and Chris and that woman that loves Radio Flyer wagons and Mark Henry were good and I liked it thanks. Just thought you should know that given all the negativity, friend.
Also, Brandon (and others), y’all are still planning on coming to Florida next month for Wrestle Bro-ing right?
You have an amazing voice…don’t take that weird
Good podcast, Brandon.
It could use some tweaking for future ones, but it was good.
The reaction on this has been perplexing to say the least. Some of you people need to crawl out of your safe-space and just enjoy some change and a different perspective. Not everyone is as plugged-in as you all are, keep that in mind before you rush to your keyboards to complain like you’re some badass. Not saying you don’t have a right to say what you think, just saying maybe you shouldn’t always use it for minor complaints.
For what it’s worth, I enjoyed the podcast and even thought Tammy made some good contributions (the bit about what John Cena probably drives and her gift to Mark Henry especially). It’s also fun to see the reactions to Brandon’s voice, given that that I remember the With Spandex podcasts.
Brandon’s voice impregnated me. Which is going to make for an interesting reveal to my girlfriend.
Just kidding, that’s so unrealistic. Seriously, me with a girlfriend?
Nice podcast! Thanks for the free entertainment. You make wrestling better.
Two things this podcast experience as taught us:
1. Some people are hestitant to accept change into their lives
2. Some people wish to do unspeakable things to and/or with Brandon’s voice
I feel like those groups are mutually exclusive. I wish I had more time during work to listen to the full audio.
I can’t wait for everyone’s reaction to tomorrow’s “Best and Worst of RAW: ♪ THE MUSICAL! ♪
Taught us? Who are you speaking for? Ugh.
Let’s try #3…
3. People *are* willing to accept change. When said change is an improvement on the original offering. This was not an improvement.
@Nevers – so a change cannot be given time to be improved upon or perfected?
“Sorry, Wright brothers, that aeroplane idea of yours didn’t do so hot, so we’re gonna scrap the whole thing”
Sure it can. Though it doesn’t make the first try any less of a failure.
Brandon is black?
I wish this was longer. Really.
A couple thoughts:
I love B/W and Brandon’s writing in general. I enjoy podcasts as well. Shouldn’t it be ok to like one better than the other? I like reading columns more than I like listening to podcasts. I don’t think condescending “Jesus, try something different” or “lighten up, crawl out of your little box, simple man” are very fair reactions to being disappointed about not getting the column to read today that we expected.
Related to that, the podcast is not posted on the Podcast app for iPhones. So I can’t even download it to listen to it (unless there is another app I could use that I don’t know about), furthering my disappointment.
Also, isn’t it a good thing that there is a large number of people, much larger than most Internet audiences, who love what you do and are passionate enough about it to be disappointed when it doesn’t happen? I don’t understand why you are clearly annoyed by this.
I want to resurrect With Spandex with Trew as a permanent co-host. I’m willing to third wheel when Tami is not available.
I would normally say something nice about your voice to suck up to gain brownies points for future Top Ten Lists, but my “sounds like a 13-year old speaking deep on purpose” voice says no.
Brandon hit “Big Bucks” on the Big Voice Board. I got a “Whammy”.
…and with that I’m “Chairman”. I’m going to go practice my Vinny Mac Walk.
+pipebomb
That was enjoyable. Now where can I find part II I was confused by that bearded man.
Part II doesn’t seem to be out yet, folks.
It’s cool that you’re doing different things, but a podcast is more difficult for me to experience than a text piece when I’m at work. Just adding my voice to other people who might have that (extremely minor) complaint.
Not sure I liked the podcast as much as the column, but it’s cool that you’re trying other stuff.
I love Brandon Stroud, and he is a good friend of mine. We share a love that cannot be tamed. But you CANNOT do a B&W OF AN EVENT without TELLING ME THE TOP 10 COMMENTS!
That is for any SNL peeps out there….so 3 of you.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE. Stroud + Trew 4 eva
Of course I’m sitting at the hospital, waiting for my girlfriend to pick me up, and think “Wow, I’ve been slammed all day, now I finally got time to read the BW Elimination Chamber!” Go to check it, and…
Oh well, I’ll give it a listen tomorrow. Sounds promising.
People getting way too pissed over something they get for free every week.
Though I will admit I was baffled as to how Tami didn’t know about HGH. Has she never seen a Stallone movie?
Sweet jesus, the golden pipes. I wrongly assumed you sounded like a lisping urkel. My apologies. Didn’t care too much for Tami in the beginning, but she grew on me as it went on. Just had to get used to her style. I did miss the depth that the written article provides, but thanks for doing this. Glad I listened and I’d definitely listen again in the future.
needs moar gifs.
“I like to imagine John Cena just runs everywhere.”
ahahahahahaha
awkward boner runs forever!
Once Cena started running everywhere Cesaro had to stop, He takes the bus now because you know… public transportation is european/gay
Hey man, that was fun. If this was a regular thing I’d listen to this regularly.
I have no reason not to believe Brandon when he says he was just looking to change things up. After all, Zeppelin got sick of playing “Stairway.” I will say that it always helps an audience to have advance notice that a change is coming – even a temporary shift. “Next week, A PODCAST!” It cuts expectations and sets the stage, Still, he’s the one with the hugely popular column and silky, resonant baritone so what do I know?
It’s super late, but I’ll weigh in. Enjoyed the podcast. Gave me something to listen to whilst driving around this afternoon. Thought Tammy’s contributions were fun (and funny), esp. the visual of MARK riding around in a giant Radio Flyer wagon. Thanks for doing all this stuff, including giving us reprobates a place to talk about the hilarity and frustration that often resides in our love of the Pro Graps.
I shall play some Football Manager and listen to the cast, thanks for the effort Brandon.
Please don’t name the f’n Pelican mascot Hugo. The hurricane didn’t even role through New Orleans. Name it Katrina, or something like that.
NEAT-O! going to download so i can listen to it today……..but i second the transcript idea too. and .gifs. lots of mark henry/shield .gifs.
I had to go home, put it on my iPod, then go to work, so I’m listening now. 1st thought, Brandon has a great radio voice. 2nd thought, yeah! Fuck Cena’s car!

Breaking news: Kofi Kingston found backstage, beaten to within an inch of his life by an unknown assailant. Police found him face down with a shattered baseball bat nearby and the letters “W/L” spraypainted on his back in what appears to be some sort of plant-based, earth-friendly paint. KnoxNews will have more on this story as it develops…

Wait, they gave Jacob Ben Israel a web radio show? Nice.
Umm, when are they gonna put it on iTunes? Maybe you’ll be right next to Colt Cabana. Like this weekend probably.
As much as I enjoy this column every week, even with the unneeded roderick strong hate.
No more podcasts dude. had to tap out 15 minutes in.
I’m not a podcast guy but after everyone here went OMG WE HATE PODCASTS and/or OMG I LOVE THIS PODCAST I thought I needed to check it out. So far (I’m only 40 minutes in) I have enjoyed it tremendously. Cena having to peel the wife decal off the back of his truck had me rolling.
Was pleasantly surprised with your voice, Brandon. You truly could do radio if it was perhaps 20 years ago.
It’s funny, but Best/Worst doesn’t really work in podcast form because the host kept jumping up and down about “IS THAT A BEST? HUH HUH!?” and it just didn’t feel right. I also wanted Brandon to describe more about how fans (and WWE) suck for ignoring Divas matches. Because he’s absolutely right.
Still, nice to see a change once in a while – maybe next time the segment could be better-structured! Though with a freeform talk show like that I imagine that’s never easy to stick to.
I liked this podcast. I wasn’t bothered by Tami’s lack of knowledge, and I didn’t think Trew was forcing her into the conversation or being condescending or anything.
It just felt like some friends chatting about wrestling, which was nice. I agree that the Best/Worst was shallow in the sense that it didn’t go into depth, but when you’re talking about going to a live event, you’re going to probably talk more about the experience around you than what you actually saw. And the latter was discussed in a satisfactory way, anyway. Besides, hearing about the interactions with those kids was pretty heartwarming.
I’d like to think you’ve sown the seeds of subversive, left-wing ideologies in their minds by simply pointing out how they’re heroes may not be so heroic, after all. And yes, I do believe that to be a good thing.

Are we getting a best and worst of Raw?
So I really don’t get why all the complaints about this. I thought this was a lot of fun to listen to. And I will now always think of Orton in the Chamber pod as Randy Orton: Gas Station Hot Dog. Thank you for that. Also, Brandon’s “kid who agrees with everything I said” voice cracks me up. So yeah, I liked it. On to part two
