Slam dunks happen, and when they do, it’s important to know which one was best. Don’t ask me to explain it.
To help us objectively decide which slam dunk is best, we’ve decided to bring back our weekly poll and let you, the With Leather reader, help us with our science. Below are four dunks of note, followed by a place where you can vote on your favorite. Participation in this poll is mandatory, so please set aside your work or personal obligations to watch some videos and play Internet.
Your choices are:
1. Blake Griffin catching his 770th alley-oop of the season, authoritatively dunking it against the Chicago Bulls
2. Minnesota Golden Gopher Rodney Williams’ 360 dunk versus North Dakota State
3. JaVale McGee’s one-handed alley-oop snag against the Detroit Pistons
4. Anderson Varejao faking out Dwight Howard, dunking on Not Dwight Howard
Videos of each dunk are below.

Dunk #2:
Dunk #3:
Dunk #4:
You make the call! NO SERIOUSLY, DO IT.
We appreciate you taking the time to be a part of the dunk discussion, which I assume is happening below.

If Rodney Williams would have stuck the landing, he would have gotten my vote, but he fell, so I went with Varejao
This. Stick the landing and the Gopher wins.
Until then, Varejao had the highest degree of difficulty.
Anything that makes Dwight Howard look like a stupid gets my vote.
So you are voting for “Dwight Howard’s continued existence”?
was coming in the say the same damn thing!
NIce
Going with #3 because of its resemblance to Super Saiyan Goku shutting down Frieza with the one-handed “You fool!” Kamehameha.
It’s gotta be the Gopher (video #2) for the win. I’ve seen pros at the slam dunk competition not hit that dunk. Not only did he make the dunk, he didn’t even travel.
I’d say McGee gets second place. Only because of the elevation he got on that dunk. And lets face it, from the sports highlights that I’ve seen, Howard doesn’t look like he’s trying. Going around him doesn’t seem like such a difficult task now-a-days.
Griffin by default.
His dunk was pretty impressive because of the height and power, but no defense…meh. #2 traveled twice on the play and then fell down. #3 was just sorta boring – big tall guy used a long arm to catch and dunk. #4 was the best play, not the best dunk, and then he bitched about the non-call.
Dunkiest.
In my humble opinion, the correct way of saying it is: “Wednesday Dunk Battle: Which Slam Dunk Is The DUNKIEST (Or Whatever)”
Which Slam is Most Jam Dunkerrific?
Also acceptable.
I guess you really can’t go wrong on this one…
Most Slam Dunkingest/Most Slam Dunkiest/Most Jam Dunkerrific/Most Slam Dunktastic/Most Slam Dunkadelic…it matters not, they all work.
…I haven’t even checked out the videos yet, I should probably do that and vote :/
that’s the only way to determine which video is indeed the most slam dunkadelic!
Why would you vote for anything other than: “dunk dunk dunk”
I signed up 14 more times to vote for “dunk dunk dunk”
Sugar Dunkerton votes for NONE OF THE ABOVE!
Varejao was the most nastiest so I went with his.
