If R-Truth’s pants are “Jimmy Proof”, why can’t he seem to get rid of him?
Dolph really needs to stop running and jumping at people.
My last comment in anticipation of Brandon’s recap ( Wrestling BS?) I just wanted to say that while I don’t like Kofi/truth, I absolutley love Ron Killings on the mic. Crazy Truth makes everyone around him better, even when they go to Santino-esque lengths. On WWE.com, they have backstage interviews, and I can’t help but still love ‘Crazy’ Truth.
I just wish they’d push him into the IC belt for a week or two.
It’s like wwe made this just for us!

More video packages like this! I loved the EVPoTRaGMoSaR scroll under his name that took forever!
That was awesome. One time he needs to be at a desk and the name and title plate needs to stretch across both sides of the desk.
That was beautiful. And so much better when it doesn’t cut into Cena being “funny”.
Monday morning, let’s all go out there and win one for Cena Dad! George Zip would have wanted it that way.
So did everyone enjoy WWE’s 3 Hour Sunday Super Smackdown?
Punk/Bryan not main eventing reminded me why I love Chikara/ROH. Hell, the Bobby Roode/RVD ladder match main event from Sacrifice was better than the Ace/Cena main event by far. I understand it from a story telling perspective, but the Punk/Bryan match was SOO GOOD and should have closed the show. Because it should be about wrestling. That’s why I hate how they write Cena’s character… I know the guy can go in the ring, we’ve all seen it. But for whatever reason he keeps getting booked in non-matches, spectacles… blah. Give me more YESYESYES, and less derpderpderp.
It was good. Not as good as Extreme Rules, but good. The crowd was great, the Bryan/Punk match was good AND looked like it will extend the feud…. Good PPV.
Just got back from the show. You have no idea how glorious it is not having to listen to Michael Cole for three hours.
Best: CM Punk busting out the Figure-four.
Meh: Cena-Laurinaitis – the outcome made tons of sense, but it was a lackluster way to end the PPV.
Worst: Darren Young flipping himself out of the ring during the Battle Royal. TheStinger, can we PLEASE get a .gif of that?
I was there as well, and I agree about not hearing the announcers, it made it 100% better. I did enjoy watching the Michael Cole mime act of don’t tap out Big Johnny.
It was interesting to hear the crowd during the Punk Bryan match, it was very much Let’s go Cena/Cena Sucks.
The crowd was dead for Rhodes v Christian
Best: The end to Punk/Bryan, a sort of bastardized Flair/Steamboat
Best (not wrestling): Jokingly trying to convince my wife that I needed a mask and a belt.
Worst: Ryback
Surprised: The pop for Cena was louder than I expected. The kids love the Cena and that’s where the money is.
Also I somewhat enjoyed the Cena match, it was predictable and felt very mid 1980s NWA on TBS. Lot of stupid not wrestling moments like a fire extinguisher and the ring bell (didn’t Dusty Rhodes do that move once?). I went into the match thinking the worst, and it wasn’t as bad as I hoped. If you take it for what the match was suppose to do, it was semi enjoyable. Do I wish it was earlier in the show? Yes, but the kids love them some Cena.
You! You! You! You! You!
John Cena’s notable losses in the last two months: The Rock, Lord Hentai, John Laurinaitis.
John Cena’s notable wins in the last two months: Brock Lesnar
$5 million is a hell of a price to pay to unsuccessfully bury the UFC, Vince.
Not sure if the joke was made already, but Cena would have won if he didn’t use water-elemental attacks against Big Johnny’s wetsuit.
+Pokémon
Just got back. Lots of cent kids there and in general the crowd was pretty pro Cena. However, they were really pro Punk too (there was a vocal Daniel Bryan contingent and the dual chanting was a big surprise. It got pretty loud and the crowd was very vocal in that match in general, compared to say, pretty lukewarm reaction to Christian returning and winning the IC belt).
if they had ended with Punk winning, I think the crowd would’ve walked away more content…instead it was just kind of a ‘well, that was stupid’ reaction and then shows over, go home.
Though there was a really sad Cena dad that was SO distraught.
Was happy to see Titus O’Neil and D-Young in the pre show battle royal though, and Regal got a better reaction than Christian did which was kinda surprising. Crowd was really into Orton for that match but in general that one was fun. Oh and yeah, Brodus Clay is not as fun to watch live. Sad fact.
Cena kids, excuse me. IPad typing.
so glad you guys handled Cena Dad appropriately in the thread below.
I would rather see a swerve that we all saw coming that makes sense than changing it up to something stupid just because everyone saw the original swerve coming.
These threads are what help me find even the smallest enjoyment in this “sport”. GOOD NIGHT
Sorry I didn’t get to hang out with y’all tonight. but seriously, Bryan-Punk at every PPV ever please?
And looking at all the comments now, it seems like everyone hated Cena/Laurainitis. I actually thought it was fairly enjoyable for what it was. Sure the swerve was predictable, but better than some stupid double swerve.
Cena/Ace was never going to be steamboat/savage. They went all out for sports entertainment, which when done right, can be good. As much as I love Johnny, he needed to take a whoopin’ in this match. And we got two of my most favorite comedy wrestling moments, Big Johnny dizzily falling out of the ring, and saying “f.. five….. five time….” Those are right up there with Shawn Michaels taking the Big Leg drop from hogan and flopping around the ring for 60 seconds. And that was him being a dick, these were perfectly in character.
Thanks for the fun comments. See ya tomorrow for the PPV B/W and for Raw.
Been a blast ladies and gents, thanks for an awesome time.
Because I’m old-fashioned (re: technologically inept), I actually paid cash money for this show. Did the same for Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania. After the other three, I thought, “You know, that was fun and I felt like a kid again, but it wasn’t, like, the best decision I’ve ever made. I mean, $50.” Now, I’m contemplating sitting here until 2 (okay, 1:20) in the morning just to watch the replay. +Rhodes all over.
I’m really enjoying how in WWE canon, John Cena is currently berating himself for being such a stupid, stupid, moron.
Cena/Ace was so poetic. Cena could have beaten him repeatedly, but chose not to out of cruelty. He flew too close to the sun.
That PPV was great. Even the Cena match was good in a “must slow down and look at this car crash” kind of way.
I just wanted to point out that after Punk did the curb stomp my heart exploded, what did I miss?
So much fun to be back cracking wise with you guys. Aside from the obvious shit, this was a really entertaining PPV. Y’all are hilarious as always. +Rhodes to you all, and to all a good night.
LTF gets a Best tonight for helping me add to my AJ folder.
A: K-Fed, Johnny Ace, and Prince Albert
Q: What are three people who own pinfall victories over John Cena (and have never been in my kitchen)?
+Clavin
What’s with all the Dolph pics? As a woman, I say meh. I’d rather see some D-Bry. He’s dreamy.
let me know what you want and i’ll do my best for all the other ladies here.
Excellent! I’m all about Bryan. He’s terrific.
and another
Mmmm .. needs more beard :)
well, like i said, let me know how you like your d-bry. you obviously prefer the bearded variant.
I wonder what AJ is doing right now……..
I find that I’m wondering that more often than not
I’m glad the short-haired Ziggler breed died out. Weird Jeff Jarrett vibe I’m getting.
Wow, that is terrifying.
I thoroughly enjoyed this PPV. Even the Cena/Johnny Ace match was somewhat entertaining. It could have been a lot worse (think Cole/Lawler). The airplane spin and the “5 time, 5 time” by Johnny were pretty funny. Punk/Bryan> HHH/Undertaker in my opinion because that match didn’t slow down for a second. I can’t wait for the write-up tomorrow.
So do the three hour Raws start tomorrow? Or is there a specific date?
i think sometime in june.
July 23rd with show 1000
Thanks, didn’t get to watch anything this week so I missed that announcment.
I’m wondering what Big Show’s plan was if Cena would’ve pinned or tapped Johnny during the fifteen uninterrupted minutes where he just chose not to. Was he just going to return to his modest Raleigh hotel room and catch the West Coast replay of Veep and Girls?
If he just stopped that shit show when it started, we all could have watched Girls.
Regardless of how it happened, Big Johnny now has a victory over John Cena in the books that history can never erase. It’s a glorious, glorious evening.
TRUTH.
Jerry Lawler had a win over Cole that was erased.
if cena b!tches tomorrow about this loss someone needs to say, “shouldn’t have spun around the ring for 5 damn minutes!!!”
Big Show: “Hey Brock…when we get to the arena, remember I attack Johnny, and you attack Cena, we cool?”
Lesnar: “Sorry, stopped off for a sandwich at Jimmy John’s. Gonna be a few minutes late.”
Show: “…………fuuuuuuuuck. I’ll do it myself. “
My only solace in tonight was that the Punk/bryan match will keep Brandon happy while he watches 3 hours of video packages tomorrow and has to write for 4 straight days about them.
The only worse ending is if Big Show and Johnny Ace left a church and walked into a symbolic white light.
whatever, man. Lost was amazing.
That would have made it so much better. Especially with Big Johnny’s Brother Love suit
Before Punk-Bryan: 6/10
After Punk-Bryan: 9.5/10
After Cena-Johnny: 0.000000000000001/10
I just hope this Big Show heel turn opens the door for Mark Henry to become an angry psycho drilling face. I want to root for him unironically.
But if they turn him face he has to start smiling alot. It’s in the handbook.
and rapping. don’t forget the rapping
Plus tag-teaming with Hornswoggle.
Well I did mention “angry.”
All that acting like a minority must have confused Big Show into thinking Cena was brown.
+1.
+1
Cena Dad in the front row is gonna get so much shit from his coworkers at Arby’s tomorrow
+111
All of the +1.
Especially considering a blew a year’s salary on those front row tickets.
+1 Beef and Cheddar
Nah. Even if he doesn’t call in, They still cant see him.
so can we please go back to the WWE champion being the main event??
That would mean Cena’s in the championship match
oh no, dolph got into the oils again! can’t catch him, he is too slippery!
Dammit, that’s how he slipped out of the collar! Bad Dolph!
Well that PPV was like a delicious six course meal, only at the end you violently vomit for a half an hour, but later, you understand that it was still a pretty great night other than the puking.
Shouldn’t have had that dessert…shouldn’t have had that dessert.
For real. That Ryback match was AWESOME.
but it was just a wafer thin mint!
The Ryback match was the side dish you eat to be polite and also because you don’t want the cute waitress to think you’re a pussy who can’t clear your plate.
It’s more like going to a super awesome restaurant where they do, you know, Top Chef type shit, and everything is perfect and amazing, but on the way home you’re like, “Yeah, but Taco Bell is RIGHT THERE.” And you get Taco Bell, and you don’t even know why.
Not puking. I think its more of diarrhea. You think the worst is over, but then you get that feeling again so all you can do is sit back down on the the toilet and wait for a bunch of crap to appear.
big show & big johnny just took a big dump on this ppv….
And sadly taking away from Cody Rhodes, we can’t say he Big Show’d the ppv.
Somewhere in North Carolina tomorrow a toll booth will be unattended. It’s operator will be taking a leave of absence after suffering a terrible loss front row with his family the night before.
+1111
But we don’t have toll booths?
Jokes on you…NC has no toll booths!
Ha ha!
Curse my lack of research!
after the PPV….Butters ran in and farted on John Cena and flipped him off
Screw the internet, does Vince even pay attention to the crowd’s reactions?
Well, you can’t trust a PPV audience. Those attract the internet fans like moths to a flame. What, with their knowledge of other wrestling products and their coherent memories of what happened three weeks ago.
You need to listen to the crowds at the small house shows, where the true loyal fans come out. Because those 1,000 people who show up in Texarkana, Texas, bringing their combined 900 teeth, 700 brain cells, and 100 dollars are far more important to the future of the company.
I have no real valid point. I just hate Texarkana.
Why couldn’t I at least have Kharma come bomb Cena?
Come bomb? I’m not sure I want to see that.
Alright, guys, it’s been fun, time to drive home now. Peace.
i am sorry…but a celebrating Johnny Ace closing out a ppv in 2012?….awesome
