- John Laurinaitis continues his quest to be the Permanent General Manager Of Everything, with his new stable (Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry, Christian and David Otunga) in tow.
- The Road To Wrestlemania continues with or without the Rock, live or via satellite, for some reason! He might be there, but he also might not, but he might!
- Kane is dead at the hospital and will never bother us again.
- The Undertaker is expected to have another cryptic message for Triple H, which Triple H will react to with one of his two speeds: 1) cocky indifference, or 2) smoldering Business Anger.
Poll time:

We might not get a B&W until Brandon regains consciousness.
“@WWERawGM RT @MrBrandonStroud: @WWERawGM Who’s better, David Otunga or Jun Akiyama? #AskAGM :: Apples and oranges. Or, Apples and Lawyers.”
He got a sign in Raw and now a tweet from Big Johnny. If Otunga will become his personal legal consultant and WWE stops slut-shaming I think he’ll just kill himself because at that point, life could never ever get better.
So, funny story. My TV bulb died so I was listening to Raw sans picture last night. I feel it made the HHH/’Taker talk about “going all the way” more interesting.

That’s shitty about Wade, at least this will give him time to try out a new conditioner.
I know this isn’t really Raw related, but can someone explain Ted DiBiase’s new shirt to me? Does he want someone to try and assassinate him so that people will remember he exists?
Actually, Sarah Palin’s old campaign manager now designs his t-shirts.
Barrett: dislocated elbow. Out of mania altogether.
Alright, so to recap the show:
-Kane’s plan backfired… Cena didn’t end up embracing hate, he ended up embracing being a douche.
-Otunga should celebrate wins by having people throw him thermal mugs like people throw Stone Cold beers.
-THIS BUSINESS
-RIP Wade Barrett
Did I leave anything out?
Woah, woah, woah…you’re telling me Cena embraced being a douche, but Eve didn’t embrace being a hoeski?
I think using “The Memory Remains” as the HHH/Undertaker theme is kind of appropriate.
The memory of their match last year DOES remain.
It is precisely why I do not wish to see them have another one.
I really don’t get why everyone is shitting all over that match. It wasn’t Taker-HBK, but that’s because HBK is in a league of his own. Daniel Bryan, Bret Hart, Jericho, maybe Punk, could have matches of those caliber with Michaels. On its own, though, Taker and HHH had good matches together, and I was thoroughly entertained by both their WM17 and WM27 matches. It wasn’t “classic,” but they were solid.
Sometimes I think wrestler injuries can be a way to have a supertstar be around and build up heat with the anticipation of them finally getting back in the ring.. Sting in 96-97 and Austin of course after his neck injury…being the best examples. If they can make TV shows, use them in a capacity that develops there character
Brandon, this might seem a little off-topic, but I’ve sent you an email looking for that, “Wrestlemania BEST/WORST” spot you’re offering. I can be reached at freitas.j@live.ca
Hope to hear from you!
I’m really hoping that Cody’s leg was a work, because:
Ziggler’s Head
Wade’s Arm
Cody’s Leg
That only leaves another Leg, Arm, and Torso, and BOOM there’s an entire wrestler dead (Christian’s Ankle? Del Rio’s Groin?)
I think you just pitched a Build-a-Figure to Mattel.
Punk’s Pride.
If we’re including non-tangibles, may as well throw Sin Cara’s confidence (or massive lack there of) in there!
Don’t forget:
Mark Henry’s Leg
Rey Mysterio’s knee
Randy Orton’s brains
AJ’s neck
and Zach Ryder’s heart
Circle, circle. Dot, dot. Now you have a cootie shot.
Okay, you guys are clear in case Eve comes around again.
The best part of all of this is that, in the WWE, skeezy, bitchy heels can only win matches by means of underhanded deeds, and do not have legitimate finishers.
This means we may very well never have to see her shitty moonsault ever, ever again.
I’m pretty sure Big Show has inducted more people into the Hall of Pain than Mark Henry.
One last comment. Crowd redeemed itself a little for giving a pop when Barrett walked out on his own feet. Appreciated that.
Also, so Big Show legit injured someone… and he was a white guy? It IS the end of the world as we know it.
Soooo… the ref wasn’t crying wolf with the X sign? Because the last two week have taught me WORK. Not funny when someone is really fucked up, eh?
According to twatter, Barrett’s legit hurt.
It’s like when they use the Owen Voice. YOU NEVER USE THE OWEN VOICE! >=(
For those worried about Wade Barrett not being in Wrestlemania now, take comfort in knowing that Vince will now just write him into a backstage scene where he and Natalya have a fart off.
Hopefully he’ll just watch the show from his luxury skybox and they’ll cut to him every five minutes, scowling down on everyone.
thank god Rhodes didn’t get hurt.. I did not want to have that talk with Tobogganing Bear tomorrow
+1
“Bear… honey… we need to have a talk. Let’s sit in the front room….”
(because that’s the room where your parents tell you Nana’s dead)
After viewing it a few times and reading teh Twitterz it looks like Show sent Dolph sailing way further than he should have and Wade tried to catch him and got really hurt because of it. This really fucking sucks.
You gotta admit, it’s a unique problem to have. I will never be able to throw anyone way further than I should. It sucks. Let me make this clear: I think the Big Show is a stiff, but the whole thing was so random and quick that you gotta feel bad for everyone involved.
I am so confused by that last match, CM Punk was trying to get over by being a dick about Chris Jericho getting eliminated via questionable injury. Then Wade Barrett gets injured for real and Punk work/shoot(?) mocks him just feet away as Barrett screams in pain. Then Jericho wins the match, CM Punk gets in the ring and asks for a Code of Honor handshake or whatever, Jericho refuses and gets out of the ring and asks if Barrett’s OK.
Be a star, Punk. Be a star.
I don’t even see the goddamn point of any of the Eve stuff to start the show? Take the heat off of Cena?
I think that was pretty much it, yeah.
WWE writing team: “Glad you guys invested all that time in our story for the last couple months. Just know that what happens from week to week doesn’t mean shit!”
It’s a good thing the AJ angle gave Big Show some experience acting resentful and sad about accidentally hurting someone, because shit just got REAL.
I bet Daniel Bryan has an amazing promo lined up for tomorrow already if they’ll let him cut it.
There was no need to be that reckless!
He! Is a BASTARD! >:(
I watched the Ziggler/Barrett bump a couple of times. It’s way worse than you think with Barrett and way better than you think with Ziggler. Ziggler just sells like a God.
Twitter says Dolph is doing a dark match with Punk right now, so assuming we can believe that, there was only Wade’s fatality.
Yeah it’s a real testament to Dolph that he is selling so good at this point that we all get terrified.
Them taking him entirely off camera after the fact didn’t help the paranoia either.
I’d like to think Dolph arranged to get carted off before hand because he so committed to his art.
Just re-watched, didn’t realize it was Barrett they were tending to.
You mean you guys didn’t pick up on the fact that Barrett was actually hurt when he started screaming “FUCK!” over and over?
In my mind Show was actually booked to win, but Cody was so pissed about Wade and Dolph getting destroyed that he ran down to the ring and took matters into his own hands.
My mind can’t comprehend the awesomeness of Cody “shoot” eliminating Big Show. Please cease and desist.
This is what you get for trying to give Santino a push.
This RAW was a lot more enjoyable than usual for having the running commentary. Thanks to all, and hopefully no professional wrestlers were injured or killed tonight.
So Miz is totally out of the Dog House now right? I mean, it was R-Truth, and I’ve seen a million people miss a catch…
Big Show THREW Dolph Ziggler INTO the Announcers Table.. AND hurt Wade Barret in the process… I’m not being sarcastic at all… Something has to give here…
If anyone cares, I just read that Wade walked off with his arm in that sling, but Ziggler is apparently okay and worked the dark match after the show went off the air.
Just read this too. Hope Barrett’s ok. Good thing he doesn’t use his coat sleeves
Can I +1 BookSavvy’s comment? Well done.
it was scary when they working on Barrett and Rhodes threw Santino out, he almost landed right into where all the refs & Barrett were.
I don’t really feel like anything that good happened in this show, but it was the first time in a while I was more absorbed in Raw then the comments, so I guess maybe that’s a good sign (although that probably has a lot to do with the fact that I just could not come up with clever things to say tonight, every week more and more funny people show up, damn you guys). But hey whatever, outside of the misogyny of the opening and everything HHH/Undertaker that was a fairly decent Raw.
So, I’ll just throw it out there. Possibilities that we could either get an open thread or something for Live SmackDown tomororw? I mean…PUNK/BRYAN 2, you guys!
I’m in
If Punk / Bryan gets a clean finish tomorrow it will likely be WWE Match o’ the Year.
Yes please.
If no live thread maybe we can set up a Cover It Live somewhere?
Or meet right back here in this live thread?
i might go to dinner with a super hot girl
tomorrow so i might no be there…..
priorities?
idk why the shit that split into 2 posts
We could in theory just come back to this comment section and keep going.
Could always Hijack B&W of Raw tomorrow also.
Lots of fun tonight, everybody. Let’s do it again on the B&W tomorrow. And please keep all of the Big Show’s victims in your prayers.
Up and Down show I’d say. The first segment was atrocious, but it’s one way to try to wrap that storyline up. HHH vs Taker becomes much more interesting in Hell in a Cell, because those are two guys who are grandfathered into the blood allowed rule. Cena tried a shoot style promo, but I just couldn’t buy into it, it sounded too forced. It’s a shame if Barrett is injured. I hope they give him something to do, maybe slide into the announcers chair for a little bit, I know he did that in FCW.
I feel like I could just watch Three’s Company at this point and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between RAW and it.
The difference is no one in the WWE is as hot as Chrissy. NOBODY.
Just went back on the DVR. As soon as Dolph landed on Barrett, he immediately grabbed his arm/shoulder and started SCREAMING “FUUUUCK! FUUUUUCK! FUUUCK!!!” By the 4th or 5th “fuck”, they muted the sound.
I thought the sound cut off for a few seconds there…
Damn, I noticed to sound being cut off for a bit there.
Just watched that again too. Bad news. Dude has shit luck.
Just did the same. Oh my God, that was terrible to watch when looking for it.
After watching EC and Raw, all I know is that.. Ooh hey Cake… *nom nom nom*
No Code of Honor for Jericho. Codebreaker, duh. /horrible pun
Punk went all meta you guys, Buck Zumhofe is the link to Undertaker and Triple H…
“He was the first wrestler to be put in a body bag by The Undertaker and was also the wrestler that Triple H faced in his WWF debut.”
Thank you Wikipedia- the bastion of information on the internets.
Daaaaamn, Punk.
Yeah lot of potential injury there. Kofi hitting those stairs did not look good either.
At this pace, all we’ll be left with for Mania is Punk, DBry, Taker, and some lucky SOBs from NXT.
Derrick Bateman to end the streak?
@MrsTHESTINGER stop making this sound so positive
So I guess the bright side of this is maybe Bateman at Wrestlemania?
Blackman beat me to it, well played sir.
Injuries aside, the craziest thing about Punk-Jericho for the title? Both wrestlers probably had the Wrestlemania title match written into their new contracts from 2011.
Rhodes should be the top heel in the company. He’s just so fucking good at it.
I said it last night and I’ll say it again, Show intentionally ran into AJ as evidenced by him causing Dolph’s head to explode
Show. Bastard.
-WHC, D-Bry
Is there another profession where you’re expected to continue doing your job while they roll away the injured body of one of your co-workers?
Schwarzenegger maid?
+1
Gingrich wife?
it seems to happen a little in rugby. just play around the corpses.
oh, sorry for not bringing jokes this go-round.
Dolph is so good at looking like he gets annihilated that I did not realize that was a botch, I just figured it was Dolph being Dolph.
That was my initial reaction. I seriously can’t imagine a world in which Ziggler could be actually injured or hurt.
i thought Dolph was being Dolph but I thought Wade was hurt from the get go
And then Dolph works the dark match, he is that good.
Wow what did Big Show do throw Dolph at 3 Miz’s?
/thread.
Barrett has been my favorite outside of Ziggler since I started watching again, I really hope he isn’t hurt too bad.
Awww. Jericho cares about Wade.
NXT continuity!
(or, you know, legit worrying about someone who was clearly badly injured… but Kayfabeland is so nice this time of year!)
The NXT rookie/pro bond goes deep.
“TALK ABOUT WADE BARRETT’S INJURY! MORE!”
See? That’s why Punk can’t Be A Star. He actually tried there, and Jericho wouldn’t accept it.
Wade is gonna need a sympathy Bella. That poor guy is in some bad shape.
And they say wrestlers don’t get good benefits!
jericho – “what happened to Wade?”
Is that what he said right at the end?
That he did, Chairman.
“Provide medical attention to Wade!”
“We are!”
“More!”
*Moar
“He’s from Lancashire, you idiot!”
Jericho – Is he hurt?
Medic – We’re not sure
Jericho – ASK HIM!
Let go of the bunny Show.
