UFC president Dana White is a polarizing guy who probably doesn’t share a lot of my opinions on things (for example, I’m guessing he doesn’t weep throughout the entirety of The Land Before Time), but he’s got a way of cutting through the bullsh*t and making some astute (if not totally obvious) points about sports, including:
1. Jeremy Lin deserves at least a good amount of the praise he’s been getting, and yeah, being an Asian guy is gonna be part of that.
2. There are a large number of African-American players in the NBA getting tons of praise and press.
3. Floyd Mayweather is a hardcore racist (“prejudiced” probably works better than “racist”, but stay with me).
4. Mayweather should probably just shut up and fight Manny Pacquiao, because he’s going to make a sh*t-ton of money doing so.

Don’t worry about what all these other guys are doing and shooting your big mouth off on Twitter. What you should worry about is getting in there and making the fight that all the boxing fans want to see. Get in there and fight Manny Pacquiao. You don’t deserve more of the purse. If ever there were a fight in history that should be split 50/50, it’s the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Shut up! Both of you split the money up and put on the fight that everybody, including me, wants to see.
I can’t tell you how much I’d love it if Mayweather’s response was lowering his head, shuffling his feet and mumbling, “yeah, you’re right, okay” under his breath. Unfortunately, the real response will either be completely silence or something involving jets and dogs and a wank about how many Twitter followers he has.
Maybe Floyd should just box Dana White instead.

Floyd Mayweather is so racist…how racist is he…he has the president of UFC pushing for a PPV boxing match that will take money away from his own promotion.
Is it possible that a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would be good for the UFC? Right now, the only two boxers that seem to get any degree of mainstream attention are those two. They both drum up support and seem to get people talking about the sport. If Mayweather-Pacquiao happens, does boxing have anything left to sell that people will buy?
I agree with everything except the part about splitting the money 50-50. Floyd does deserve a bigger share, he’s undefeated, and a better boxer. I don’t think there’s a common opponent that Floyd didn’t beat in a better fashion (and, for the most part, first).
While I agree with your assertion that Floyd has the superior boxing track record I do think the money should be 50-50 as the purse has more to do with marketability than anything and Pacquiao is the much bigger financial/commercial draw right now. And to either effect, shut the fuck up and take the 50/50 merrywether you assmunch!!!

First off..I agree Floyd should fight Manny and be done with it all. I’d rather see him go out as the true legend then to have this particular fight be the one skeleton in the closet. However for Dana White to accuse someone of being racist is outrageous! You have to ask the question; did he pull the race card to get a response or is he himself a closet bigot? Lin is getting credit for being Asian as well as being a great player “now”! But every sports analyst has pointed out the fact that he’s Asian since the spot light was shined on this kid. The spotlight is on this kid because he’s Asian and holding his own in the NBA not because he’s just another player. If this kid were Black or White all you’d hear was that he had a good game, but because he’s Asian and this country holds dear to its stereotypes we have hoopla and everyone has bought into it! To Mr. Dana White I’d have to say you’re a real CLOWN today! Let us be men!
