In today’s hottest “NASCAR driver might not have a great perspective on the world” news, driver Kasey Kahne offended every single human woman on Twitter when he saw a lady breastfeeding her child at the grocery store and jumped on the Internet to complain about it.
At first you’re like, “maybe he just turned out of the dog food aisle and suddenly there was a tit”, which is reasonably jarring.

But then … no, he was disgusted by it. He was disgusted by what he saw your body doing.

Yeah, you stupid bitch, how is he supposed to buy saltines and Mountain Dew and whatever else it is NASCAR drivers eat now? Unfortunately the expository tweet between the two was deleted, but if you need to know exactly what transported him from Kroger to Barf’s Burgers:
One boob put away and one boob hanging!!! #nasty
So it wasn’t a social thing, and it wasn’t that he felt surprised by what he was seeing or thought breastfeeding should be done in a more private place — he was literally made sick to his stomach by the sight of a breast. Both boobs covered (“put away”) is cool, and both boobs hanging is acceptable, but one in and one out? You might as well be 2 Girls 1 Cupping it in the checkout line. In all seriousness, the image of a bunch of women walking around the grocery store in Andre the Giant singlets is hilarious. Also in seriousness, f**k this guy.
In case you were wondering, yes, he did the Social Media Abusing Athlete Walk Of Shame:
I understand that my comments regarding breastfeeding posted on Twitter were offensive to some people. For that, I apologize. It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breast feeding children. I want to make that clear.
In all honestly, I was surprised by what I saw in a grocery store. I shared that reaction with my fans on Twitter. It obviously wasn’t the correct approach, and, after reading your feedback, I now have a better understanding of why my posts upset some of you.
My comments were not directed at the mother’s right to breastfeed. They were just a reaction to the location of that choice, and the fashion in which it was executed on that occasion.
I respect the mother’s right to feed her child whenever and wherever she pleases.
Kasey Kahne
I guess “I respect women and understand the complexity of motherhood” is what he meant by #nasty.

“Also in seriousness, f**k this guy.”
Agreed.
/father of two kids who were breast feed
Any post you can wedge a “You Can’t Do That On Television” reference in, is a post to applaud.
In his defense, who knows? They coulda been one ugly titty.
If it was one of those mothers that breast feed nine year old boys, I would totally be with Kasey on this one.
Note to mothers when to stop breast feeding your child: if you get whisker burn afterwards or if he has a cigarette afterwards. Jussayin.
He’s just pissed he couldn’t do this:

FOX Sports Public Service Announcement, Jan. 2012:
[Open with closeup of baby slurping on a proud, unbowed momma's breast while shoppers squeeze by. Pull back to reveal NASCAR's Kasey Kahne.]
“Beautiful, isn’t it? But not in a sexualized way. Hi, I’m NASCAR’s Kasey Kahne. Fans know it’s ‘natural’ for me to put the pedal to the metal and go for the checkered flag. It’s also natural for mothers to breastfeed their babies. Healthier, too. Just like my momma did. Sometimes, babies need to be fed when mom’s at work, in traffic, when she’s pushing out the trash, or at the grocery store. Let’s all support healthy babies by respecting a mother’s right to breastfeed wherever, and whenever. It’s natural, and beautiful. But not in a sexualized way.”
He’s such a boob.
When I was a teenager there was a woman who brest-fed at the local swimming pool, and it caused quite a stir. I was, well, not repulsed by it so much as suprised/shocked, and wanted it done away from my eyes. It didn’t help that mom was 250+ lbs of hairy ugliness, and was feeding not only her infant but her 4 year-old. I was used to seeing boobs as sexual things, not as feedbags. So I can understand this dude’s shock and visceral reaction.
But then I grew the fuck up.
It’s one thing to be an ignorant, biased teenager/young adult. But being an actual adult means thinking instead of merely reacting with an “ewwwwwwwwwwww, gross!”
Especially if you’re someone famous.
First world problems are great. Somewhere there’s a starving child in Uganda who’s parents are both dead dragging around his baby brother trying to find a handful of grains to feed his sibling while the rich Nascar man bitches about mammary glands serving their intended purpose.
Shame on you Brandon, Just like @KnittingRad, Deana P, you don’t use you last name on your byline but write an article w/o looking at the facts, using only his tweets and omitting hers. How BIASED! Mine last name is Kinnaman. Here’s just the tip of the iceberg of what no news feed had the DECENCY to include in their articles. I’ll keep reposting it for the newcomer haters. Hopefully they gain new insight of Kasey attack.
“@KnittingRad Deana P @kaseykahne wow, you’re kind of a douchebag, where would you propose that baby eat, the restroom? Would you eat in the restroom? @scatx.”
She proudly has this as her bio-feed: “Mom of 3, caffeine junkie, knitter, liberal, pro-choice, feminist, Twins fan, sayer of inappropriate things. Will for sure contain explicit lyrics”.

When readers go to their twitter page, @KnittingRad and @scatx, they’ll see first hand the intentional vile, slanderous campaign they waged against Kasey & the tide will turn against them. Vitriolic laced insults. Even after he apologized to Deana P, she continued to mock him, proudly saying she brought him to his knees. Ironically, she can dish it out but can’t take it because she slams fans then proudly retweets that she blocked them. Don’t take my word, go see for yourselves. Start back from 12/27. Now, after being bombarded for 2 days, she’s feeling only a FRACTION of what Kasey is going through and wants out.
Those who say they are no longer fans, they never were if they abandon him. We’ll be here for him through all the ups and downs.
*UPDATE*Apparently @KnittingRad Deana P, can dish it out but can’t take it. She slams his fans and laughs that she blocked them. She tweets that she has never deleted a tweet but HIDES behind an initial instead of her full name. WHAT A COWARD!!!! She has now “protected” her account so no one can see her vile hate filled comments. She was whining that she had no idea it would get this bad and wants it “to go away. WHAT?? TOO LATE!!!
What about the damage she caused for Kasey professionally and publicly? He’s paid a steep price for his lapse in judgment, publicly and professionally. She can remain anonymous. To those who said they can no longer be his fans, let’s hope they never do anything wrong and regret it. They were never a true fan if they abandon him for this. His true fans will stick by him through all his ups and downs.
What she needs to do if she TRULY wants this to stop is post her apology on Kasey’s fb page. She did on her twitter page, half heartedly, but who sees it unless you go to her page which is now blocked. AND since she’s savvy enough to have contacted the news wire, do so w/ her apology. She needs to admit that she was wrong as well, he did.
This is one of the most hilariously intense comments we’ve ever gotten here. My last name is Stroud, for the record, and it’s all over the website and basically everything I do.
lol. I’ve got 99 problems and a tit ain’t one.
I breastfed both my children but am very against breastfeeding uncovered in public and would certainly not expect to see it in a grocery store. Feeding your children is natural either by breast or bottle but exposed breasts are not a natural part of our culture. That’s the way it is and until women walk around shirtless as men can, we can not pretend it’s ok. A child or even young adult woud not have the capacity to differentiate between when it is and is not ok for a woman to expose her breast and are very often left to feel incredibly uncomfortable in these situations. I would have been very upset if i encontered this while at the store with my young son. It was never hard for me to cover up and i belive those who dont are trying to make a point at the expense of others. Shame on you. Also, anyone who feels its ok for a woman to be exposing her breast in ublic should show the same courtesy to someone who wants to speak against it.
