Detroit Lions tackle Ndamukong Suh is no stranger to trading paycheck money for Blitz: The League 2-style necksnapping and ballpopping. The league fined him $7,500 for his hit on Jake Delhomme and 15K for his forearm strike (or “two-hand shiver”) to the back of Jay Cutler’s sad head.
Friday night’s game between the Lions and the Cincinnati Bengals happened, and Suh did not react kindly to Richie Cunningham in the pocket. Take a look for yourself.
The NFL hasn’t released any official statement on the hit or the fine, but Ndamukong’s Twitter update has given us an important clue. See if you can figure it out.

Exclamation points aside, you can’t grab a quarterback by the head and sling blade him to the ground anymore. That’s how modern football is gonna work. Mathematically he’s doing well, as precedent suggests his previous fine should’ve been doubled, which would’ve left him paying 30-thousand instead of 20. The next hit will cost even more, and after that comes an oral warning. After that, three written warnings, and after that he could be suspended. I think that’s how it works.
Regardless, remind me to never let this guy hold my head.

REN and MF’ING STIMPY.
This was a late hit and possibly finable but that Cutler fine was BS. He pushed him in the shoulders. That should not have been fined.
Yeah, Cutler fine was dogshit, he pushed Jay down like a ragdoll and it looked bad but was legal. Hell you can drag Cutler down by his tampon string, it’s part of his uniform like Polamalu’s hair.
Jesus, that was a hate crime.
I think you forgot the double secret probation…
It’s not like he killed anyone (yet). Lighten the fuck up Goodell.
The refs have been told to err on the side of safety with high hits this year. Expect hits like this and even less to result in more flags and fines than usual.
I agree, we need to gently ease QBs to the ground because they are so fragile. Maybe the NFL can initiate flag football for QBs only. Actually I think they should just grow a pair.
Chris Hanburger, who just got in the HoF; that was his base tackle style.
NFL is turning puss , it truly will be 6 hours long with all the damn replays n flags soon it will b flag or two hand touch
