Because there’s nothing the Internet loves more than a viral video about a wedding,
On 7-23-2011 Lauren and Wes got married in front of many family and friends, showing their true love and bond between them for the rest of their lives… Yet they we still celebrating the Bruins Stanley Cup Victory in 2011, and this is how they came to enter their wedding reception in and EPIC fashion… We Got The CUP!!!! Boston Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!!
Not a lot of black people at this wedding, I’m guessing.
Right now the two top thumb-getters in the video’s comments are “awesome job!” and “f**king obnoxious”, which I think are the only ways people can process something self-described as “epic”. Wedding receptions are supposed to be goofy and fun, so it’s not like they danced down the aisle to Chris Brown. Of course, the comments on Puck Daddy (to whom we give an inflatable Stanley Cup tip) expound on the severity of the situation: “Other people’s weddings and other people’s fantasy sports teams/leagues are the most insipid and banal topics of conversation to the vast majority of the population.”
I don’t know which side I’m on. I don’t think this is more less obnoxious than having two people light a single candle to illustrate their love or drinking out of a big cup or stomping on things, and that stuff usually happens during the wedding part. So yeah, good on them for having a good time.

Any doubt the bridesmaids were wearing green in honor of the Celtics? I thought there’d be at least one pink Red Sox hat in the crowd.
/would have liked a close up of the girl in the royal blue dress
Ahh, yes. There’s always one fat bridesmaid. Why? To make the chubby bridesmaid look normal. Also, so I have someone to go home with at the end of the night.
I give it 18 months, which is 17 months and three weeks longer than I could put up with dating someone who likes a Boston team.
Love the pink hat comment. These idiots couldnt figure out that Shippin Up to Boston is more Red Sox than Bruins… How about mixing in a little Black and Gold by DKM.. A song they wrote specifically for the Broons…. Amateur hour.
I’ve got Wisconsin hockey season tickets with a group of guys and one of them got married last summer. He somehow convinced his wife to use the same Metallica song (Enter Sandman I think) the Badgers use as their entrance song at the reception. It turned out to be a lot cooler than I expected.
I was a bridesmaid in that video and no, the green was not a nod to the Celts… but a good thought, nonetheless. And she’s not fat… she had a baby 3 weeks before and looked damn good! Like the video said, they’ve been together for 10 years, so I’m really doubting the 18 month prediction. And certainly not amateur hour. In case you didn’t recognize all the French names in the video, hockey runs in their blood and they’ve been bleeding black and gold since they were youngsters. But, if you think true love for a sport and team is displayed by your knowledge of songs, so be it.
