I’ll tell ya, I am one NBA-posting son of a gun today. Speaking of guns, Gilbert Arenas is back on Twitter in case you haven’t noticed, and instead of living up to the contract that he’s destroying my Orlando Magic with, he’s trying to be a funny man again. This time, Arenas decided to live Tweet a blind date that he went on, which may or may not have been fake, but it was a pretty cool story, bro.
Granted, it would have been 10 times better if he was served papers halfway through the date because he has a tendency to stop paying his child support and completely ignore the mother of his kids, but the dude only makes $20 million a year so we should lay off.
Anywho, in case I’ve never mentioned it, I’m a Magic season ticket holder and I pay more than I should to support Arenas’ contract, which the team acquired in a trade that GM Otis Smith made because he’s friends with Arenas and sucks at his job. So I’m very happy to see that he makes jokes about his proclivity to nail random girls instead of going to a gym and strengthening his knees. I can’t wait for next season.

I am sensing some angst over your team’s personnel decisions.
Sounds like his date didn’t go well. Maybe its because he was on his phone the entire night twittering like a 16 year old girl.
I may, just slightly, have a tiny bit of hatred for Gilbert Arenas and Otis Smith.

Gilbert’s been tweeting about working out the whole time. I guess you over looked that part so you could get in your smart ass comments. Cant wait to see what you say about Dwight when he bolts.
Damn, you just owned me. Can’t believe I had the nerve to criticize an adult who behaves like a 12 year old. Maybe I’m wrong for making smart ass comments about a guy who does nothing but makes smart ass comments and ignores his responsibility to his family and his team, but I’m pretty sure that as a season ticket holder or even a dick-joke-making blogger I reserve the right to rip him.
You know what I’ll say about Dwight when he bolts? Not much as long as he does it with a little more class and maturity than the Decision. If he tells everyone he’s committed to staying and then leaves via a spectacle I’ll have plenty to say. Not very sure what one has to do with the other, though. Has Dwight been busted for having guns in his locker in an arena that exists in a state which has laws prohibiting such an act? Has Dwight been served with papers during a game because not only is he not paying his child support, but he’s not even talking to the mother of his child? I don’t think so. I might be wrong, though. Feel free to correct me and I apologize for being critical of your friend Gilbert.
And I just re-read his Twitter feed for the past few days and you’ve got to be kidding me. He talks about working out the same way I do. He Tweets more about random girls and video games. Give me a break.

Man, I’m bored today so I looked into this some more. Mac G, you’re defending Gilbert because once a day – and it hasn’t even been every day since he joined Twitter, mind you – he Tweets something like “working out” and most of the time that’s in the context of “working out and then…” he’ll tell a story or give away shoes.
Read his Twitter feed – it’s remarkable. He praises Earl Clark – who is the only worthwhile player that Otis obtained in those two stink turd deals – for working his ass off to get better. Meanwhile, Gilbert is just saying “I’m working out” or “I’m doing my pool workout” the same way I say, “Going to do some cardio”.
The rest of his Twitter feed is nothing but him giving away shoes (which is cool to see him interacting with his fans, I’ll give you that) and bragging about his past achievements. He’s 29 years old! Why isn’t he talking about his dedication to getting back to where he once was and earning his paycheck? You get on me for making smart ass comments because he’s Tweeting insults about a girl and getting laid, even after he’s already been fined by the NBA for his Twitter remarks?
That’s it, I’m convinced that you’re Gilbert Arenas.
