Don’t be confused when you watch this video of the Vancouver Canucks defeating the San Jose Sharks in double overtime, you won’t be able to tell what happened. Nobody was. But wait until the slow motion replay, where you get that amazing, life-defining shot of Kevin Bieksa breaking out a Russ Tyler-style Knuckle-Puck to send the Canucks to the Stanley Cup finals, 17 years to the day since their last trip.
Here’s a video of the original, for comparison.
Here’s hoping Canucks back-up goalie Julie “The Cat” Gaffney gets to be in goal for more than one guy in one shootout.

(*writes 2000 words breaking down Knuckle-puck scene*)
I was hoping for a close-up of his face as he paused before the shot, where he says, “It’s knuckle-puck time!”
Other players skate right towards Russ, stop for no reason other than to marvel at all that is… the knuckle puck.
Pffft, Bieksa would just murder Russ Tyler, Ken Wu, Dean Portman and Fulton Reed after the whistle. Especially Fulton.
