The Packers have one for the pinky.
Green Bay won its fourth Super Bowl, largely due to the Packers defense and their three takeaways, including a Nick Collins pick-six in the first half. Aaron Rodgers added three touchdown passes of his own to give the Pack a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers pulled within three points late in the fourth quarter on a Mike Wallace touchdown, but Green Bay answered with a field goal on a time-consuming drive and Pittsburgh turned it over on downs on the ensuing possession.
Some minutiae:
- The 31-25 final score has only occurred once before in NFL history.
- If you made a list of every player to ever play in the Super Bowl, Packers linebacker Frank Zombo would be dead last.
- The 36 rushes from both teams (13 from the Packers, 23 of the Steelers) were the fewest in Super Bowl history.
- Aaron Rodgers took MVP honors in Sunday night’s game, an achievment that Brett Favre never managed.
There’s a fair chance that Super Bowl XLV will be the last game that any of us see for quite a while, so let’s enjoy it.
In a Super Bowl marred by bitchy columnists, horrendous customer service, a muffed national anthem and a so-bad-it’s-bad halftime show, we at least got a game that was close at the end. Congrats to the Packers and fans of sexual assault schadenfreude enthusiasts everywhere.

Hold on now, Jason Whitlock said the halftime show was amazing. And he said Frank Caliendo was incredible. Yeesh.
Is Slash so broke, he needs to sell out G-n-R to the BEP?
oh yes…does anyone have video after the last Pittsburgh Offensive play of the game…the one where big ben turns to the ref and appears to mouth “you should have thrown a flag…”
Someone needs to check Fergie’s adam’s apple after that rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
Untold story of the superbowl – the packers have a player on their roster who is actually going to be charged for raping someone. However, this failed to be mentioned by anyone ever.
Cher looks better since she joined the black-eyed peas, but I still wouldn’t do her.
The Super Bowl was as exciting to watch as I had anticipated in prior week blogs. I have not gotten so worked up in a long time especially in the beginning of the second half when I began to see the air of the Steelers I have always known. I’m a Packer fan for life but you grow to expect certain behaviors from specific teams and I did see what I expected for Sunday but from overall expectations. My Dad did have his Packer Party as expected and ended up going with Dish Network who I work for instead of Direct TV. I helped him do his investigation as I really wanted to see him get the best possible setup regardless of who I work for; I mean it’s my Dad. I was a bit put off has time was running out the week of the Super Bowl that in order to get Direct that he would have to wait 6-8 weeks just to get his new customer promotions. I wanted him to relax and enjoy the coming victory of his home team. He ended up getting multiple HD receivers and programming free with no issues. He has a fantastic sports package, costing him nothing extra for the coming basketball and football seasons. It’s almost like it was all meant to be, his new HD theater, the Packers earning themselves another Championship, and of course a fantastic day with Dad
