Everyone knows Mark Buehrle and his wife love dogs. A couple months ago, he saved a dog with an arrow stuck in it and made sure it found a good home. It’s not surprising that Buehrle doesn’t like Michael Vick, but the fact that he wanted him to get hurt while he was playing in the NFL this season?
“He had a great year and a great comeback, but there were times where we watched the game, and I know it’s bad to say, but there were times where we hope he gets hurt,” Buehrle told MLB.com in a recent interview. “Everything you’ve done to these dogs, something bad needs to happen to these guys.”
The story, which was published on Wednesday, centered around the animal rights work Buehrle does with wife Jamie. Sometime after being posted, the comments were edited out of the text and a note was attached: “This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.”
The writer, Scott Merkin, also posted the quotes on his Twitter account, but the tweets were later deleted. -New York Daily News.
Sure, people are certainly allowed to not welcome Vick with open arms after his comeback this season, but hoping that he got hurt so he got justice served to him? Isn’t that why he went to prison? I’m sure there were unspeakable things that he dealt with in jail, and I personally feel that he’s done all he could to make up for what he’s done. Maybe Buehrle wants Vick to tongue-kiss every dog he has owned. Would that be enough for him? This just in: Buehrle said that would be fine. We now have a developing story: Mark Buehrle is sort of creepy.

I want him to get hurt. Not because he tortured dogs, but because he plays for the eagles.
Nothing Vick does will “make up” for what he did. I just hope he really does change the way he views and treats animals, especially domesticated animals. He was punished pretty severely, in my opinion, for what he did. I don’t want to see him punished any further for his dog cruelty, but at the same time I will not trust him until I see evidence that he’s really changed.
The way he said “… I know it’s bad to say, but there were times where we hope he gets hurt,” leads me to believe that it is an uncontrolled feeling. Like how I wish A-Rod would get run over by semi.
This is why athletes resort to cliches when asked questions. My opinion is Vick served his time, Buehrle feels different. The real question is, how good will he pitch this year, because if it’s poorly then he is a huge asshole and he will fuck my fantasy team.
“Maybe Buehrle wants Vick to tongue-kiss every dog he has owned.” – You want him to dig up the ones he killed too or are you just talking about the ones that are permanently in shelters because they are so screwed up psychologically?
The hypocrisy is frustrating. Dog fighting is an atrocity but shooting a deer in the throat and chasing it down while it drowns in its own blood is good family fun.
Just so I have this straight: breeding dogs to fight each other is the epitome of evil but strafing a pack of wolves from a helicopter is the eptiome of real Murica, right?

awwww, poor michael vick, somebody said they hoped he got hurt. well, he did get hurt & everybody said, “aw, poor michael vick, what a brave little soldier” then he came back from the injury & everyone said, “awww, what a tough little soldier” So, whats-his-fuck got his wish. So, did Michael Vick. who gives fuck?
Anyone who says Vick served his time is a piece of shit, and hopefully dies in the same manner as the dogs he tortured and killed.
He did serve a damn minute for killing the dogs. He served a minimum sentence because he pleaded out. They dropped all the animal charges and left him with Financing a Dog Fighting Ring Across Statelines.
He is not sorry for what he did. He is sorry he GOT CAUGHT! His parents even told him not to do it. He thought he was a God and could do what he wants.
Stallworth went to Jail for a month and was suspended the following year. He knew he made a mistake and instead of fighting it and maybe getting away or a plea he took the whole thing on himself.
Vick did minimum time some of which was at his mansion. During the time he was in prison he was suspended from the NFL. But he was in prison so he couldn’t play in the NFL anyway. Once he got out of his ‘jail time’ he was still suspended but it was lifted after week 2.
So out of all the time he couldhave actually played football he missed 2 weeks. Which were used to get him back into game shape.
Celebrities are never brought to JUSTICE.
Not only do I hope Michael vick gets hurt but given the chance I’d make sure he never played football again. If someone murders and rapes little kids, but does his time, does that mean he is no longer a piece of crap? Mike Vick deserves to die the exact way he killed those dogs. Mark B. Didn’t take it far enough. The eagles franchise should burn to the ground with it’s owners and Vick in it. Then I’d call it enough.
