But God bless her, she still got it together and showed up to Super Bowl XLV to perform the National Anthem for the millions of people watching worldwide. And boy, did she nail it out of the park or what? She was all like…

Wait, that’s not right. Isn’t there something about ramparts in there? I’m pretty sure they were gallantly streaming or something. Either way, great for Christina, showing up and staying strong. Ain’t nobody gonna break-a-her-pride, ain’t nobody gonna tell her that she needs some sleep. Seriously.

Yup, she was awful.
To be fair, it’s not like The Star Spangled Banner has a hook or anything. It’s hard to remember all of those non-repeating lyrics when you have so many melody improvs to work in.

What a fail that was. God damn pop singers. I would rather listen to Mike Ditka sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at Wrigley than this shit.
Maybe if she was more focused on the words and not adding all her ooos and ahhhhs and riffs and what not she would have gotten it right! I’m not a fan of christina ever, this is no exception. Big thumbs down!
