Nothing fires me up for another day of post writing like a good pump up speech, and few in recent history have been better than the speech Miami of Ohio head coach Lance Guidry gave his team last night. The Redhawks defeated Middle Tennessee in the GoDaddy.com Bowl last night, becoming the first team in college football history to go from a season with 10 or more losses, to a season with 10 or more wins the following year. And now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to finish this post, put that chip back on my shoulder, and get ready for an afternoon of drunken shenanigans. Video after the jump.

Jesus.
After watching that I just punched the guy next to me in the face and took off running wind sprints up and down the hallway.
I would murder, maim and pillage for this guy. And I went to Ohio U.
LD, we can’t all be perfect like interim coach Lance Guidry. REDHAWKS!!! The double Gatorade bath that the team gave him was pretty cool, too.
I’d seen this 3 times already on SportsCenter and I watched the video again. That’s awesome.
Also: who are the guys leaving around the 1:09 mark? I’m sorry; was Guidry’s speech not enough for you? Do you want blood?
Place kickers, who needs em.
I’m not sure what all the hype is with this speech. I give it a 4 on a 10 scale. The speech the Syracuse coach gave before the lacrosse finals in 2007 was 10 times better than this schmo.
northern michigan university was 0-10 in 1974 and 13-1 in 1975 and winning the national championship for division 2
Proud MU Ohio alum
D’son?!
