Tim Tebow has played for two head coaches since 2006. They’re currently both out of work, albeit for sharply different reasons. Tebow’s pro coach, Josh McDaniels, was unceremoniously ousted before he could even finish his second season with the Denver Broncos. The quarterback’s college coach, Urban Meyer, just announced today that he was retiring for reasons unrelated to his health scare from a year ago. Lemme guess…spending time with his family?
“I have been a Division I football coach for the last 25 years and, during that time, my primary focus has been making a difference in the lives of the young men I have been so fortunate to have coached and building championship programs,” Meyer said in a statement. “At this time in my life, however, I fully grasp the sacrifices my 24/7 profession has demanded of me, and I know it is time to put my focus on my family and life away from the field.
Meanwhile, McDaniels was ousted by Broncos owner Pat Bowlen on Monday afternoon, partly because of his acquisition of Tebow–considered undraftable by many teams–with the 25th overall pick in the 2010 draft last April. And now Tebow might be on his way out of Denver as well, because obviously he causes nothing but heartache and strife everywhere he goes. Dang you, Tebow. Dang you to heck.

FIRST!!!
Hasta la vista, Daniel.
Didn’t Urban Meyer quit at this time last year? He’s a Wrangler ad & text pic of his crank away from being CFB’s Brett Favre
“I respect a man who only acknowledges that he has a family once a year.”–Karl Malone
Tebow’s Bronco jersey sales make up 1/3 of their revenue. The Buc’s or the 49er’s will pick him up just for that.
Anyone who writes “First!” should have their comment edited to read “Douchiest!”
Maybe the Broncos can hire Meyer in order to save Tebow’s job.
Giggity is right, they aren’t getting rid of a cash cow like Tim Tebow.
I’m fairly certain that trading Peyton Hillis for Brady Fucking Quinn and giving up draft picks in the process is a more fireable offense than drafting Tebow 25th.
I haven’t heard from any reputable news source that drafting Tim Tebow was any reason for the firing. In fact here in Denver, the rumblings are Pat Bowlen liked Tebow as well. Your lack of research is pretty weak on this subject. Overall the 25th pick has never been that big of an impact player in the league. Look at the last 5-6 years pick at #25(Jon Benson has played well for Carolina but a blockbuster he is not, Vonte Davis went to Miami and has one whole pick this year, Mike Jenkins picked by the Cowboys has one whole pick this year, Jason Campbell was picked by the Redskins and we all know how that went, Ahmed Carroll was picked by the Packers has played for four different teams since then) The fact is the #25 pick historically has never been a make or break for any team. Yet you keep focusing on Denver and Tebow like it is. The odd thing is I never hear you complain about any other #25 pick in the past. At this point lets call it what it is …haters gonna hate.
Mr. Dylan, that is a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out comment. Overruled. Why? Because no one gives a flying fuck about Denver.
Objection! Aren’t you someone that always proclaims their hatred for the east coast biases that saturate the sports market? You should embrace Denver as a city that’s great for all professional sports. But I digress… Apparently no one gives a fuck??
