One Cleveland news outlet is reporting that Browns coach Eric Mangini will be fired at the end of the regular season, which would make him the fourth NFL head coach of the year to lose his job while everyone wondered how he got one in the first place.
Sabrina Parr from WKNR is reporting today that regardless of what Mangini does in his last three games, he is out as head coach. Chris Fedor then added that the Browns are having difficulty finding a new offensive coordinator because there is a lack of willingness in candidates to work with Mangini.
Really? Who wouldn’t like to work with suck? Between this guy, Wade Phillips and Brad Childress, it’s a wonder that unemployment is so high and yet these dudes–who any average fan could have told you was a bad hire–are still holding down jobs. I’ll add Chan Gailey and Jack Del Rio to the list as well. If either of those guys have any sense, they’ve already cleaned out their offices and put a moratorium on buying green bananas. They’re an investment, see.

Jack Del Rio gets this year’s John Fox Shit We Can’t Fire Him Now Award.
I’d like to say something witty, but I feel it wouldn’t top Burnsy’s comment so I’ll just refrain.
One ping only.
@ Burnsy – they renamed that award a few years ago from “Wayne Fontes”, I believe.
This is retarded. Mangini is actually doing a good job and the team hasn’t quit on him yet. And if Holmgren thinks that firing Rob Ryan is a good idea, well, good luck in Hell, Walrus.
“I’ll add Chan Gailey and Jack Del Rio to the list as well”
You misspelled “Gary Kubiak.”
And Marvin Lewis lives on
Just an FYI, all Sabrina Parr does is blow c-list athletes. In Cleveland at that. This hardly qualifies her as any kind of source, unless you’re talking about herpes.
Also, Mangini is doing a fine job with what he has to work with.
Sabrina Parr only got a job there because they had a contest to pick a sexy girl that gives out prizes over the air. She turned that into a couple home wrecking hookups with some Browns players. The fact that we schemed our way into wins over the Patriots and Saints should guarantee Mangini more time. Let him get some talent and then see what he is capable of.
ERIC MANGINI IS DOING FINE IN SOME RESPECTS; BUT HE HAS TO STOP BEING BULLHEADED AND STUBBORN.WHEN YOUR GAME PLAN ISN’T WORKING HE SHOULD TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. UNLIKE SOME GAMES SUCH AS BUFFALO. IN THE SECOND HALF THEY SHOULD HAVE TRIED A DIFFERENT STRATEGY.
I think that Mangini has done a pretty good job this season. Phillips lost the Cowboys early, and Childress never really had the locker room. The Browns play hard, but they do have trouble making in-game adjustments. Thank god we put Delhomme the human fucking jugs machine on the bench for McCoy.
Mangini was lucky he was given another year by Holmgren! Ryan should take over the team before the Brown’s lose him to another team. And bring in Gary Kubiak as the Offensive Co-ordinator!
