While many people are quick to decry Vick for his dogfighting past, he is receiving support from a new ally – the Humane Society. Sure, you could argue that the Humane Society will want to prove that their court-ordered poster boy is all better and capable of puppy love, but isn’t this still a solid endorsement for the guy?

“I have been around him a lot, and feel confident that he would do a good job as a pet owner,” Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States, told the AJC Wednesday.

Pacelle, who has toured schools with Vick, said the Philadelphia Eagles standout has committed publicly to speaking against dogfighting for the rest of his life. (Via Atlanta Journal Constitution)
