Around every Friday or so, we pick the winners to the weekend’s most anklegrabbingly awesome matchups. We call them “Weekend Picks.” Home teams are in ALL CAPS.
Tonight: Stylez G. White over Kyle Vanden Bosch. The NFL’s Pro Bowl ballot is now online. Vote for your favorite names or just load your ballot with homers. You’re welcome, Jonathan Fanene.
Apathy over Zenyatta. It’s a horse race. In November. Whoop. Dee. Doo.
Saturday: KANSAS STATE over Texas. As bad as K-State is, one has to appreciate that this is The Year That Texas Loses To Everybody. No corn stalk in Manhattan will be safe this weekend.
UTAH over TCU. I can’t understand how Boise State is ranked behind Oregon and TCU when they’ve beaten both schools within the last 14 months.
Sunday: SEAHAWKS over Giants. Charlie Whitehurst comes into the NFL throwing touchdowns, and the Giants’ four-game win streak falls by the wayside.
PACKERS over Cowboys. Dallas sucks.

Uh, they are not ranked behind TCU.
What the hell rankings are you looking at Frito? TCU is 3rd and Boise St is 4th in BCS

Et tu Punte?
“What the hell rankings are you looking at Frito? TCU is 3rd and Boise St is 4th in BCS”
AP, UPI, Harris, etc. True, BCS is the only one that matters, but it isn’t the only one.
” …. they’ve beaten both schools within the last 14 months.”
Then there is the minor issue that the season isn’t 14 months long. Boise beat TCU and Oregon LAST season. Not this season. The rankings start over at the beginning of the season don’t they? Am I missing something here?
With the way TCU so handily disposed of Utah methinks the BCS computers will need some extra time to find a way to make BCS-conference schools #1 & #2 this week.
Good call on the Giants… that was a squeaker
