It has been, to put it politely, a bizarre year for the greatest golfer ever of our day. Tiger Woods saw his reputation and his marriage collapse, followed shortly by his game. And 2010 was Tiger’s first year as a professional where he did not win a single tournament. And now Woods, who really could use his newfound spare time to work on his floundering game, is parading into the lion’s den that is cyberspace with his own Twitter account. Let’s take a peek into the soul of the world’s most famous athlete.
What’s up everyone. Finally decided to try out twitter!

Those last three tweets are actually from 2009, but you get the idea (wonder what was keeping him from Tweeting until now). Woods’s agent has said that Tiger is doing this of his own volition, and to some extent, it makes sense. After the initial wave of hateful remarks and un-clever jokes, people will eventually use the medium to warm up to the guy, despite the fact that he literally has nothing to say. Sorry, but Woods is amazing at golf and terrible at literally everything else. Well, he was amazing at golf.
And this is awesome.
