With Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb suffering from a concussion, the likelihood of Michael Vick making his first career start since 2006 has continued to grow. After Eagles head coach Andy Reid emphatically declared that Kolb will start in Week 2 in Detroit, the extent of Kolb’s injury became more clear.
The Eagles believe it will be a few days before they know if Kevin Kolb (concussion) will be cleared to play against the Lions on Sunday.
Coach Andy Reid has already said that Kolb will start if he’s healthy. But that hasn’t stopped fans and media from calling for Michael Vick to be under center regardless. If Vick ends up starting next week and performs well again, those calls will only get louder. –NBC Sports.
We mentioned earlier that Vick accounted for 278 yards of total offense after playing little more than the second half in the Eagles’ loss to Green Bay yesterday. Even if Kolb gets medical clearance to play by Friday [SPOILER ALERT: He won't be], it might be too late in the week for him to get up to speed. And if the Eagles have who has to be the best backup quarterback in the NFL right now, why rush to bring him back?

Since Suh didn’t rip Cutler’s face off yesterday, maybe he will sarcifice this felon instead?
I’m pretty sure this was the plan when they let go of McNabb. Let Vick sneak in through the back door, as opposed to just flat out hiring him as your new QB, because at the time he was supposedly toxic waste.
As far as I’m concerned, this is just one more reason to hate the Eagles.
Asked for comment, Kolb said: “Monkey pancake dinosaurs.”
When reached for comment, Kolb said: “My dark side, my shadow, my lower companion is now in the back room blowing up balloons for kids’ parties.”
How much longer are we going to hate this guy? He made a huge and inhumane mistake, showed lack of class, humanity, sound judgement and flat out decency. But he paid dairly for these mistakes and from what I hear is trying to rebuild his life. Since when did we become so judgmental and self rightous that we can’t give another person a second chance? Not to diminish at all what he did; but we have murderes, child molesters, wife beaters, drug dealers/addicts, cheaters, hypocrits and other filt still roaming in celebrity, sports, entertainment, political and even religious circles? Come ‘on, he is not running for office or anything like that; whatever he accomplishes on the football field, should only matter to his team and fans. But it will not change nor influence our lives one bit, which is more than I can say for some other scum who have received a second chance!! Let’s get it together now, and let’s be real here.
