There are moments in sports when you watch a play over and over again and still can’t totally grasp what happened (If you’re confused, just Google “David Tyree”).
This winning touchdown run by Genoa-Kingston (Ill.) High School senior Craig Billington is one of those moments. Billington, caught in the backfield by the Burlington Central (Ill.) High School defense, makes a few moves, a few cuts, and ends up making every single defender miss him on his way to the end zone for a game winning touchdown.
Seriously, watch the video and then explain to me how number three and number 18 don’t stop him in the backfield. It blows my mind. They have help all up the far side, and he is trapped with very little room to even breath, yet nobody can bring him down.
I don’t know a lot about football (I’m more of a basement guy), but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the Monday practice after this game for Burlington Central involved a lot of screaming and a lot of tackle dummies.

Is it me or is this play pretty unimpressive? He actually gets a block on one of the guys in the backfield and with the D swarming that side it wasn’t that hard for him to cut back.
Yeah, this isn’t really front page material, especially not compared to dogs on surfboards.
and he’s white? wtf ?
Can we get that clip set to yakity sax?
When you wear the #15 as a QB, you will be blessed.
Once he made the only two black guys on the field miss, the rest a walk in the park.
If #5 wasn’t on roller skates, he could have made the goal-line save.
Was that the Cleveland Browns on defense?
What’s amazing is that, despite ample opportunity, no offensive players lit up any defensive players. There were so many chances for ear-holing a guy and laying him flat on his back, and all they did was tickle each other while the QB ran around.
What this kid did is not impressive, its entertaining but its just a logical play. He makes the entire team miss because no fewer than 7 (SEVEN) players all slide into each other and either eat shit or get blocked when 18 and 13 pursue him into the backfield to try and tackle. Look at how many of them fall down, and then a guy falls down at the end. Is that field coated in Crisco?
18 and 3 rather
yeah, that’s not impressive. I mean I do that play in Madden ALL the time.
