Granger Smelt It, Turkey Dealt It

Team USA forward Danny Granger has been spending time in Turkey this summer for the FIBA World Basketball Championships, and unfortunately for him, he left his pumpkin pie Yankee Candle at home. Danny has been complaining via twitter about the stench of Istanbul.
I’ve been a city slicker for most of my life, but I’ve never heard of species decomposing differently. Danny’s offended nostrils also have a problem with the hygienic standards of the Turks. A steady diet of falafels and hookah must give you some pretty serious B.O.

I did a Google image search for ‘dead donkey’ while brainstorming a Photoshop for this post. While I ended up scratching that plan entirely, I did find something I thought you guys would enjoy.

As someone who has been to Istanbul a few times, I think Granger was either in a Watercloset or he himself smells. It’s not like Athens where there’s seemingly no sewage system.

I was just there. It’s clean and it doesn’t smell. Seems strange that someone who spends his time bumping into sweaty men would complain about body odor.
I’m pretty sure you could Google the most obscure words and still get an image of chicks making out.

I’ve also been to Istanbul a few times, and to echo the posters above me, it doesn’t smell bad.
It seems like he’s trying to say some cliche things about foreign countries to make his boiz back home laugh or something.

I quite like Istanbul, pretty cool city, however here’s some advice for Granger: if you’re in a room and it smells like dead donkeys, leave the room.
