This video has been making the rounds for the past couple weeks, but it’s entertaining enough to warrant here. It’s the story of a handful of dudes in Portugal that supposedly have mastered what they call liquid mountaineering: the ability to run on water. Or running on a plank that’s just below the surface of a lake, identified by a patch of mud on the waterline. It’s one of those two, but I love how the guys sell it as some sort of new-age yuppie zen with water-repellent shoes. I have a hard enough time reminding myself that Portugal is actually in Europe and not South America. Doesn’t it sound like it should be in South America? via The Original Winger.

Jesus wept.
Damn it. I was going to run this tomorrow.
You have to admire the production values on something so utterly and completely fake. That’s impressive.
Viral ad for Hy-Tec?
It would be more believable if the guys were exceptionally fast or had crazy-fast step cadence. This is just a couple of ordinary Joes.
So where are the pictures of it being fake? Obviously im not buying into it’s real, but at least point out the muddy plank and whatever else.
Stealing from Bruce Almighty is just sad.
Around the 1:40 mark you can see what resembles a plan. And if you cannot see the plan, then you can notice how they fall off at the same point or how they have the ability to drive their knees up off the water’s surface tension is very unrealistic.
Watching Bruce Almighty was sad too.
Hi-Tec hat and shoes are the key. Jesus key.
Any movie with Jim Carrey blows ass.
