Milwaukee Bucks big man Andrew Bogut is scheduled to have surgery today after this horrific injury to his right arm. I guess dude went up for a dunk and got his fingers caught in the net and then fell-down-went-boom. It’s just a nasty, nasty chain of events to suffer through, even for a guy that played at Utah.
ASYLUM POLL: Is Bogut’s arm injury the most gruesome ever?
At least one writer is blaming this on some sort of jinx that befalls players selected first overall in the annual drafts; Bogut was taken with said pick in 2005. Of course, I’m tempted to blame this on the officiating. I’m not exactly sure how this is their fault, but I just know it is. Video of the injury is after the jump. Instead of dunking, he went Down Under. Get it? Cause he’s Australian.
What’s the matter, he hurt his vagina?

Yet another reason why white guys should only do lay-ups.
Oh! He puts the lotion in the f’n basket!
Watch, Bill Walton will be using my new catchphrase by the weekend.
how does stoudamire (sp?) not get a suspension for this. he shoved the dude in the back. granted it wasn’t a horrific shove, but it was enough to get a fall, force Bogut to swing higher than he wanted and therefore lose balance. that push in the back cost Bucks’ fans the excitement of a legitimate playoff run as well as probably ending Bogut’s career. i can’t believe this isn’t taken more seriously.

Hey buddy, I like Utah
I admit it. I felt a little bit queasy during the replays. Too bad too. The Bucks were at least finally getting interesting.
