MCNABB AND OWENS TEAMMATES AGAIN?
03.09.10Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens are putting the band back together. Sort of. They’ll be playing as teammates, but only on TV. While playing basketball. Yeah, I don’t get it, either. Break it down for us, blockquote.
McNabb and Owens are teaming up on a basketball court instead of a football field in the new season of Spike TV’s “Pros vs. Joes.” The episode features NFL players that played college basketball against former NBA stars.
McNabb (Syracuse), Owens (Tennessee-Chattanooga) and Antonio Gates (Kent St.) will face Hakeem Olajuwon, Kenny Smith and Rick Fox. –SI.com.
That works for me. I personally would like to see more NFL guys playing basketball; they’re natural athletes, and for some of the younger rank-and-file guys, it would be another couple of paychecks in the offseason. Somebody make this happen. Because we could certainly use a pro basketball with a meaningful regular season. We don’t have any of those in America.

I would love to see Jared Allen play basketball. I imagine it being like a mix of Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds and Gheorge Muresan.
What’s with WL’s infatuation with reporting days-old news? Having that much trouble filling your quotas?
Spike TV is hoping and praying that there will be as much drama on the court as their was on the field. I really hope something gets going between them, but TO is trying to lead people into this new phase and lack of attitude portion of his life. That’s his only hope of signing a decent contract with his production and ability faltering.
At least in hoops, it’s OK for Donovan to throw bounce passes.
