A Buffalo, NY youth football coach was one of five men arrested by the DEA earlier this week for running a drug ring in the area. Eric Humphrey, 31, of suburban East Amherst allegedly was selling cocaine while coaching his Pop Warner football team, which was one win away from the National Championships.
Authorities say agents found more than $120,000 in cash in Humphrey’s bedroom.
Police said he made cocaine deals in a parking lot while his team practiced on a nearby field. –CBS 6 Albany.
Am I the only one that has the Erie Canal song in my head now? Either way, I’m amazed that this guy owned a sports bar AND coached youth football and still had time to acquire an inventory of coke to peddle to the masses. The government just doesn’t have respect for independent contractors any more. It’s a crying, snorting shame, really. Thanks, Mr. U. Underdog.

Coach Eric Humphrey turned down the Bills job before Chan Gailey took it.
“the Erie Canal song”
I’m pretty sure every folk singing hippie in the history of folk singing hippies has sung that song.
The team’s name?
The Buffalo Ravens.

Outstanding photoshop, Punte.
That’s a pretty smart plan though considering that he lives in Buffalo.
Thanks for not making the obvious Buffalo snow joke.
