Gilbert Arenas got a little glib with the pending Guns In The Locker Room investigation and has now been indefinitely suspended from the NBA. Guns are bad, m’kay?
Walking into the locker room two days after the dispute on the team plane, according to two witnesses, Arenas laid out the guns in Crittenton’s locker. Two other teammates eventually sauntered in and, while Arenas was writing the note in front of Crittenton’s cubicle, in walked Crittenton, according to their account.
Asking Arenas what he was doing, Arenas replied, “If you want to shoot me, I’d just thought I’d make it easy for you.” As other teammates laughed, Crittenton crumpled up the paper, tossed one of Arenas’s guns across the room, where it bounced in front of a team trainer, and said he didn’t need any of Arenas’s firearms because he had his own, according to the witness accounts.
Crittenton then drew his weapon, loaded it and chambered a round, the witnesses said. –WaPo.
Any potential charges of carrying a gun (and loading it) in the Verizon Center will be magnified by DC’s staunch anti-gun legislation. And it’s worth noting that Arenas’ suspension (without pay) saves the Wizards a bit of coin on his $111 million deal. But there are so many versions of what happened floating around that charges may not even be filed at all. And then Arenas can return to shooting the lights out in the classical sense.

I wonder how many guns Karl Malone had.
Can’t we just let all the NBA players shoot each other and be done with it/them?
Arenas was just campaigning to bring back the Bullets Mascot.
When reached for comment on the matter, “Pistol” Pete Maravich said “I feel great”.
Gun fingaz! PEW PEW PEW!
Pauly, Andrei “AK-47″ Kirilenko feels even better.
I agree with ILPAP, take the neighborhood gang warfare approach. Nothing to see here folks, just black gangsters killing themselves.
