11.03.09 BRUCE LEE: MODERATELY BADASS
UPDATE: This is the actual video.
Bruce Lee is one of those rare icons of film that was as badass in real life as he was in his movies. I heard that one time he caught a bullet in between his asscheeks while he was procreating with a stegasaurus. Unfortunately, that wasn’t caught on tape, but this was: It’s a pair of older Nokia ads featuring Bruce [allegedly] playing ping pong with nunchaku and I hate to sound impressed, but I’m impressed. And if that wasn’t enough for you, he then tapes a piece of sandpaper to his ‘chuks and lights a cigarette with them. I actually tried that once in a bar. My results weren’t exactly similar. via Roger Ebert’s blog, via @Enrico_Pallazo_

The fuck? That Enrico Pallazzo is a fraud. I’m the real one…just watch me call balls and strikes to prove it.
you’re an idiot, thats not even Bruce Lee… its shopped bro
I hate to be one of those internet sploosers that says everything’s fake, but this has been well documented as fake for going on a year now. I wanted to “believe” too, and I’m not doubting Bruce Lee’s awesomeness, but that ain’t him and this ain’t real.
If that shit was real, it would be the single greatest thing ever caught on video. It ain’t.
You need like nunchuku skills, I have bo staff skills.
Are we sure this isn’t a scene from Never Back Down?
Seriously, the best I could find was that it was a CG Bruce Lee, but nothing from a legit source. And “Clash311″ doesn’t qualify as “legit,” either.
Great, you called me out Punte, now I gotta ’splain myself.
First, we must recognize that the video is awesome, but it is a product of JWT ad-agency by the Chinese Don Draper, named Yang Yeo. Secondly, there are 4 types of Tards when it comes to this video:
#1. Tards who think it is actual footage, unearthed.
#2. Tards who accept it as CGI with Bruce Lee digitally imposed from “A Game of Death.”
#3. Tards who accept it as a fake with CGI (ball) and a Bruce Lee stand-in.
#4. Tards who think its a real video, with a fake Bruce Lee.
I am Tard # 3 because that is NOT Bruce Lee. Sure, the guy is Asian, and has the same haircut, but that’s like saying early Paul McCartney looked like early John Lennon because they both had mop-tops. There are extended close ups of the other dudes, why not “Bruce?” His back is constantly facing the camera, or his face is obscured in shadow throughout. That’s intentional. Also, I’ve seen Forest Gump and no that wasn’t Tom Hanks hitting that ping pong ball, which does seem to defy gravity at the 58 second mark of this video and would probably explode if struck at that velocity with a real nunchuck.
I would love nothing more than for this to be the real Bruce Lee performing this type of bad-assery, but it defies reason, logic, and physics.
It’s not like Bruce Lee was the only person to wear that track suit. I’ve got one just like it in pea green.
